Rated 4 out of 5 by mrrraven from Great for PC gaming, not so much Xbox gaming. The design of these headphones are great, and the comfort and fit are excellent. In wireless mode, which I use with PC/Mac, they sounded great, the "mute on lift" (lifting the mic boom up to mute) is an excellent function, and battery life is brilliant too. Only issue I've had in wireless mode, is the volume and game/chat controls are both on the same side, and when on your head feel the same, so a bit awkward to adjust. In wired mode (which you have to use with an Xbox One) you are limited by the cabled connection and lose a lot of the standout functions. Without those functions (wireless, lift to mute, even the volume and game/chat dials become redundant) these headphones lose their appeal.

While I await treatment in COVID I am mostly bed bound so have gotten into gaming again for the first time about 10+ years. The surround sound is amazing for Warzone although disappointed that the wireless feature is not compatible with Xbox One and nor is the signature Quantum sound. These features are PC only. Although standard surround sound is still good enough to game with and make all the difference for Warzone. I purchased these at £79.99 during November sales. If I had paid full price I would have been disappointed having been unable to access all of the features via console.

Rated 3 out of 5 by wokko from basic i just got mine and after using them for about a week straight i came to an honest opinion, they are about as good as ur regular 80$ turtle beaches for gaming, the “surround sound” os extremely quiet and i can hardly hear footsteps in game, im on pc so the chat/game volume mixer is a waste chat id either too loud and game is too quiet or game is good and i cant hear ppl, im not a fan as to how loud the max game volume is, pros: sleek, comfortable, long battery life, for music related things and watching movies they are excellent as to be expected by JBL they are known for beautiful sound, but gor gaming they are lacking, especially for pc gaming expieriance

Rated 5 out of 5 by staceyemma from Good for Gaming This is my first JBL Headset and my first experience using JBL, upon first expressions they look very nice and stylish and quite straight forward to use, I use them with my PS4, Live, Daily. I like how lightweight they are and they look expensive, I like how all the features are in simple places for you to find whilst wearing the headset and how the mic mutes when you fold it inwards, this is handy to keep the headset on but not be heard when your live without having to do much. I would highly recommend these to gamers who go live a lot as they are comfortable and easy to use and look nice and for the price in comparison to other headsets of a similar price these seem to be the best set ive used.

When I bought the JBL QUANTUM 600's I knew I hit the nail on the head. First, the surround-sound, and the mic/audio which is amazing. next, the durability and comfort. Very durable for gaming headphones, and the comfort is great.. lastly, the features. First, let's talk about the surround-sound feature. When you put the JBL QUANTUM 600's on and start playing games with them, it's as if you are in a completely different world. The JBL team did an amazing job on the surround-sound feature. it literally puts you into the world of the game you're playing. i play games like, Fortnite, COD series, Assassins creed, and Minecraft. I can't tell you how awesome these headphones are with gaming. The mic/audio is also amazing. The flip mic feature is amazing, and all it takes is an instant, and I have myself on mute. I stream my games on Discord/Youtube/Twitch.tv and my mic is very clear and I can be heard very well by my viewers. when i play with other people i hear them super clear, being that the sound quality is great. although i have problems with the certification on Discord, and the QUANTUM ENGINE, overall, great surround-sound and audio/mic. Next, the durability and comfort. The durability is very good for gaming headphones, being that i fondly switch to different consoles and PC's. The setup takes seconds, so these are the go-to durability headphones. The comfort is great. The cushioning around the ear makes the experience of the headphones amazing. although the headphones in general are a little heavy, the cushioning around the ear, and by the headband are very comfortable. Lastly, the features all around the JBL QUANTUM 600's. one of the best features, is the setting that lets you hear the chat over the game, or the game over the chat. Extremely useful. I am on discord a TON, and that setting is just great. Probably the icon of the JBL QUANTUM 600’s is the JBL QUANTUM ENGINE. Although I am still studying the JBL QUANTUM ENGINE, it is so far so awesome and it can adjust to the wearer's needs. Also, the discord certification. They work amazingly well with discord. The JBL QUANTUM 600’s have a certification on discord. However, it hasn't worked for me yet. Hopefully it will work for you. Amazing features overall. These are all the reasons why I think the JBL QUANTUM 600’s go above and beyond. for the surround sound, the durability and comfort, the discord certification, the QUANTUM ENGINE, and the all-around features. These are my best gaming headphones yet, and I highly recommend the JBL QUANTUM series.

Product Q&A

Why does the headset not turn on while I have the charger plugged in? I just opened it out of the box, and while the charger is not plugged in, it will turn on. When I plug in the charger it turns off.

as far as i can tell, the only way to charge and use the headset is to use the 3.5mm wired connection. Doing so loses surround and equalizer adjustments and maybe microphone use too. I am very disappointed.

Per the quick start guide, the wireless usb dongle does not work for the Nintendo Switch or XBox. Why won't the dongle work for these systems?

Unfortunately, these consoles don't support these types of dongles. Only the 3.5mm audio cable will work with them.

Can the Quantum 600 be used with a smart TV for watching films

You can only connect your Quantum 600 to your Xbox One via the 3.5mm cable. As the USB dongle isn't supported by the console.
