Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Bluetooth Earbuds This is my first set of Bluetooth earbuds. First off,let me tell you, these are fantastic! I normally use over the ear headphones when listening to music but wanted to try these for running. These emphasize treble and mid-range,but actually have some bass response! Musical sound quality is excellent. Very easy to get setup and start using. The little case they come in,which is also the charger, has a battery in it so it provides an on the go recharge, you just put the buds in the case and they start charging. The back of the case has a battery lever indicator so you know how much juice you have left. I just came in from a 7 mile run and these were very comfortable. Earlier, when I first tried using them, they kept falling out but when I read that you put them in your ear, then turn them to kind of lock it in , well, that was the trick! 7 miles and no issues. Someone asked a question and rather than taking them out, you just push the button on the left one and it activates "talk-through" which allows you to hear what they are saying... Once done, another push and your back listening to Highway Star. I havent tried the voice feature as I prefer to talk into my phone rather than looking like a nut talking to myself on the street ;^) A bonus, the flatscreen tv has a bluetooth connection and these Reflect Flow earbuds synced perfectly! I can watch tv and have it loud enough to hear without keeping the whole house awake. Included in the well packaged box were a bunch of different size rubber tips for custom tailoring the fit and comfort. Overall this is another quality product I have to to expect from JBL.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from powerful bass These earbuds are very powerful, the bass is strong, not distorted and very clear. The noise cancelling feature works perfect. This are way better than my powerbeats pro which cost me over £150. I don't know how JBL is doing this but great value for money, they sound like a party in your ears. I use this earbuds now every time I go out and also at home. They a push connection which means if I paired them to my PC Bluetooth, this will be preferred over any other Bluetooth Headset and it will be preferred even more than the Bluetooth connection on my phone. So to connect back to my phone Bluetooth when at home I have to first switch off Bluetooth on PC, connect to Phone, and then switch Bluetooth back on PC, tricky but I seldom use them with my phone when in front of PC, since in Windows you can even increase the bass more, and I am a bass head, so this is the perfect solution for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Defective Headphones... 3 Times I bought these headphones about 6 months ago. After receiving not 1 but 3 defective pairs, I’m done with dealing with them. The first pair lost the ability to charge (common problem with these headphones), the second had a loose component that made the right earbud rattle, and the third pair had an incessant loud static ticking noise that was noticeable while listening to anything. I liked the fit of all three pairs but the quality is very poor. Upset that I wasted $120 dollars and countless hours talking to representatives and going through the return processes for subpar headphones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I think I got a refurbished pair I thought I bought a new pair of headphones but the box was so torn up I’m thinking it was refurbished. Still great JBL sound quality and they connect to my phone well. My last pair one side would stop and start the music and the other side would change the songs. This pair both sides start/stop the music. Kind of a bummer. The new design to enhance fit is nice for a little while but starts to hurt my ear after a couple hours. The main reason I got a new pair is that my other JBL pair only has a 4 hour battery life. The new ones have a 9 which rocks except for them hurting my ears.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stays in place! Super happy with this purchase. I tried a few different truly wireless headphones in the $40-$70 price range before I decided to break down and spend more on these. Before I got these, I just couldn't find headphones that fit my needs. I primarily use the headphones for working out and my biggest problem was finding ones that would stay in my ears without having to be constantly adjusted. With the JBL Reflect Flow, the wing holds these headphones in place with no problems, even during heavy lifts with my varying facial expressions. I normally would not spend this much on headphones, but I am so glad I did. I understand these aren't expensive by many peoples standards, but I'm super cheap. They make my workouts so much more enjoyable. As far as sound quality goes... I'm not a snob about it. In my opinion they sound great but my audiophile boyfriend thought they could use more bass to balance out the sound. Thank you JBL, you've got a customer for life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super clear sound, great battery life I am listening to these as I write this review - I have to say I am really impressed with these little ear buds. I've used over ear headphones in the past, and the in-ears that I've used in the past have always lacked the sound quality I longed for, but along came the Reflect Flow's and the game has most definitely moved on. First impressions are really good. The box is a stylish flip top charging until, and the buds snap in nicely using magnets...seem to hold really firmly and the case generally is unobtrusive when you carry it around. The back of the case has a useful LED display to show remaining batter charge, with a Micro USB port....rivals have started to use USB-C which would have been better but it didn't affect me at all really. All in all a good start... The fit took me a while to get right, and to be honest I still can't get it completely comfortable. As we're all different, there is always going to be variation in this so tricky to really give JBL too much stick for this - it comes with 3 different versions of both the ear cups and the "fins" for want of a better word. I found these a bit uncomfortable, and if you're using for a commute they aren't really necessary. I would say however that they are particularly good when on the move - I took these out at the weekend on a XC Mountain Bike loop and they didn't budge; I was worried these would get dislodged but I was really impressed. Sweat resistance is good as well given that these are waterproof to IPX7. The sound quality is excellent. The clarity is superb - the acoustic guitar Everlong by The Foo Fighters was really detailed. It's biased to the lows rather than mids or highs, but the drus on my dance music tracks were well defined and tight, and generally the sounds is well balanced. I am more impressed than I expected to be and they are really enjoyable to listen to. I made a few phone calls using them as well and calls were clear, and the people I was speaking to said I sounded clear to them too so another tick. The other gripe - you can't adjust the volume on the earbuds themselves, which is a pain. Also the buttons for the ambient sound options (which is ok but don't really use it) are firm rather than touch....you end up pushing them further into your ear which can be painful. So they aren't the most comfortable for me on longer listens, but if you really want comfort over everything then get over ears. For portability, commuting, battery life, sound quality - these are an excellent choice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Thoroughly Disappointed I have spent hours trying to pair these earphones to my iPod with no success. Also failed with iPhone. The directions are just illustrations. They are useless as are the earphones.
Date published: 2020-04-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy. You can get much more for less £ I cannot overstate how bad these earphones are. I've been running for 5+ years and have never come across a product so useless and so terrible in terms of value for money. These aren't cheap. I've had no end of problems with them so far. The volume plays funny buggers and for no apparent reason gets stuck on the quietest setting. The headphones decide to unsync from each other. The headphones decide to unsync from my watch / phone mid-run. The headphones run out of juice super quickly. Am now at a stage where they wont sync to ANY of my devices and the right headphone won't charge. The instructions are trash and hard to follow. I have had them less than a month and they're unusable. UTTER TRASH and DO NOT BUY. Seriously have had better luck with headphones a third of the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound I was so excited to get these and have used them everyday, since. I walk 3 to 5 miles and these fit; keep sound clear and have great battery life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound The sound is very good and left me pleasantly surprised, however it did take me a few attempts to find the right fit. If the fit was not correct, they sounded awful but once I found the correct fit, they sounded great. The wingtips which give me the securest fit and best sound are the smallest and are slightly uncomfortable but not a deal breaker and I’m sure my ears will get use to it. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase for two reasons: the sound and the Bluetooth connectivity.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Design, Not Worth The Cost Have had these less than a year and even from the beginning the headphones have been way too big for my ears. Even with the smallest rubber pieces on it they are too big and hurt after long usage. Sound quality is okay but not any better than a cheaper brand I had bought off Amazon. Case is very cheap feeling and the headphones will pop out of it easily if it's dropped. Have also had issues with headphones not consistently charging while in the case. Example, put them in the case at night and next morning they were at 10% battery with a fully charged case. Would not recommend

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returning after one use Received these yesterday. Used them at the gym tonight. Had to refrain from throwing in the garbage after 5 minutes. The WORST signal reception of all wireless headphones I've owned. In one hour I was able to listen to about 3 minutes of music total, even though my device was playing music the entire time. I thought maybe it was interference from another device or something. I tried them again at home, no other devices running. Still have AWFUL reception. I can't describe how frustrating this is. I am so disappointed I don't think I'll ever consider a JBL product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sound Great packaging when received everything in order. Headphones looked awesome out of the box with a smooth, cool looking charging case. The looks on these headphones are modern and sporty. Headphones included various ear plug cover sizes. I use the smallest size covers when wearing headphones. Fitting is a little uncomfortable when wearing for the first time. But after wearing them through out the day you get used to them and they fit right on. I needed wireless headphones to do my morning bycicle workout and they work awesome. Once you set them on you have clear sound, my concern would be them falling off from the sweat running down my head but I had no problem. The sound is just right when riding through heavy roads I can lower them just enough to hear traffic but no sound music interruption. It would be great if they did have a custom app where one could control volume settings. Overall they are just the right headphones for me. Getting ready to get my wife a pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow At first, I fitted the wrong attachments so the sound wasn’t the best but then changed them up and the sound quality is just like the speakers. The buttons are easy to use and not complicated. Also, you can either block out background noise or put music into the background so you can hear sound around you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best earbuds I’ve ever had I’ve had these for about a year and a half. I wanted to be able to leave an honest review: I LOVE THESE EARBUDS! The only thing that is sometimes annoying about these is they will sometimes come off their little charging ports, power on, and sync to your phone. I’ve heard my music playing in my bag lol. Other than that, they’re GREAT. Music sounds really good and phone calls can be made/received without issue. I use them while doing almost any activity. One of them even fell into a sink full of water and the music never stopped lol; they’re still completely and fully functional. I can’t find them right now and I actually came to this website to get a new pair LOL I just HAD to leave a review! Don’t hesitate! But these!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive! I have been testing the JBL Reflect Flow wireless earbuds for about four days, and so far, I’m really impressed. Perhaps most importantly for me, the earbuds feel much lighter than they appear and stay in securely. I wore them to run, row, walk my dog, and to do an online spin class, and I didn’t have to adjust them once. They were fairly comfortable, had great volume and sound, and blocked out most other surrounding sound without completely silencing it (helpful for safety reasons). At the same time, there was just enough give in the seal in my ears that I didn’t hear a thud amplifying every footstep, which is often a problem with earbuds that fit tightly, and for me, this is a huge bonus! I also like that these fit in my ears without an earhook over my ear (and they’re the only true wireless ones I’ve tried that will stay in for me at all), which makes it possible to wear these comfortably with sunglasses or a hat when running outdoors. The sound quality is excellent—clear, crisp, and with good range—and better than I have heard from any set of Bluetooth earbuds. Even my husband, who was once an audio engineer, was impressed with the sound. Though it’s not quite as good of a bass range as you can get with a full wired headset, it’s far better than most Bluetooth earbuds can get. Even the microphone is exceptionally clear for phone calls in a wind-free environment. I haven’t tried making a call when walking outside in the wind, so I can’t speak to the sound quality in that situation. There are just a few minor drawbacks that you might want to consider. The first is that the ambient aware and talkthrough just seems to reduce the volume, not actually be a true talkthrough feature. The second is that you can’t actually adjust the volume using the earbuds; instead, you have to adjust the volume on your device. Most of the time, this is fine… but if you’re connecting to a device on the other side of the room and the volume changes quickly (such as the music during the credits to a TV show that you’re watching while running on a treadmill on the other side of the room turning up rapidly), this could become frustrating, though you can always change the talkthrough settings to reduce the volume for a little bit. Finally, if you have really small ears and the smallest covers are still not quite small enough (this is true for me), the earbuds might start to hurt a bit after you have worn them for a while. I’m hoping this will disappear as my ears adjust and the silicone softens up a bit, but it’s not enough to be a deterrent from wearing them for an hour or so at a time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Missing features I did not buy since it is deal breaker for me the fact that you can't go back on songs, and that there are no volume controls. I usually crank the volume up at the end of my workout, and having to reach out for my device to do so is not user friendly. Additionally, there are tracks that help me boost my running time and there are moments where going back on it is really helpful, but then again, you need your device to do so. Very disappointed these basic functions are not included in favor of ambient, which is not really needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burned three times This is my third pair of JBL wireless earbuds. Love JBL wireless speakers, so I figured I would give the earbuds a try. I first tried the JBL Freestyle X. However, after a couple weeks, the left earbud stopped charging. JBL sent me a new pair. Within 3 days, the left earbud on that pair stopped charging. Then JBL offered me a pair of JBL Reflect Flow earbuds as a replacement. After two weeks of use, the JBL Reflect Flow right earbud stopped charging. This is even worse than the left one not charging because the right earbud is the "dominant" earbud and is required for the bluetooth connection to the device. At this point, the earbuds are now useless. They don't even make a good paperweight. The one thing I'll give to JBL is that their customer service is good. That said, I don't want a JBL replacement product, so I'm done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage. Don’t bother purchasing. I bought these a month ago and ever since they’ve given me problems. The Bluetooth connection is disrupted every 2 - 5 minutes and it is impossible to listen to anything. this is clearly a fault with JBL’s earbuds as I previously had a different pair and I have never experienced this problem of constant disconnection. Considering their price, I’m really disappointed with JBL’s quality and the fact that there is no fix for this at all. Do not buy these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t charge For the price of these earphones I have had so much trouble getting them to charge. For one I had to get my original ones replaced because they would not charge. The second pair I currently have can not hold a charge either. I am sure to keep the charging box fully charged to be sure the earphones are charged, but for some reason they just do not. I leave the earphones in the charging box for days and they still do not charge. Definitely would not recommend getting these earphones considering how expensive they are and the charging problems that come with them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A lot of advantages with some work needed Positives first: The design means they won't budge in your ears--at all! Great for all types of land workouts. Great sound. You CAN use just one earbud at a time, but it has to be the right earbud. Good microphone for taking calls, even while on busy/windy city streets. Negatives: I honestly don't see the point of the TalkThru and Ambient Awareness modes. TalkThru gets so quiet you might as well just press pause. Ambient Awareness as well is just slightly quieter than regular mode but I don't see a difference in my ability to hear ambient noise. The bright side is these "quiet" features increase the range of volume you can achieve with these headphones, from normal loud to quiet as a pin drop on a pillow. But I don't think these features are all that special. The earbuds often don't line up correctly in the charging case, which leads to one bud not being charged without me realizing it. Bluetooth connectivity does some odd things sometimes, like sometimes I answer a call and the call goes to my phone audio even if my earbuds are on/in use. Earbuds sometimes turn on while charging/in the case, which causes them to override other bluetooth connections like to car audio systems. Bulky design. Buttons require a hard press, which is uncomfortable to push something that hard into your ear. Ultimately being able to wear these without having to adjust every 30 seconds makes them keepers, and maybe the charge issue is a problem with my specific pair, not actually a design flaw.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice headphones but poor comfort I was really hoping that these would blow me away but unfortunately they don’t. Build quality is excellent, the sound is amazing but lack volume. The biggest issue with these is the comfort or I should say “lack of”. They are to get them in perfect position. Once in position then I wouldn’t bother touching the controls as it will plug in your ear and you’ll lose quality/volume. Even with the smallest ear pieces in, they’re just too big. Real shame
Date published: 2019-10-30
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so great. Got this once as a present. Not loud at all. You can only use right side earphone alone, if you try to use left one and put right one in charging box left one stop working. I have tried to fit it with all available buds but only thing I managed to get was swallow right ear. After third day right bud started crackling sound. I got one pair of JBL wired headphones what are miles better than this once despite those once cost only £5.99 at Curry's. Very disappointed with this one JBL ☹️. Returned to Argos and give a try of other made of headphones at same price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They stay in my ears Always seem to have trouble finding ear buds that will stay in my ears when I'm running in the Florida heat. Decided to try these, as they had an ear piece similar to the JBL Synchros Reflect (wired). Have had these now about 2 weeks, and I do not have to adjust them when running 2+ miles. Sound quality is good, however, I have not taken a call on them yet, so I can't comment on that aspect. They looked a bit large on the website, but are actually not as clunky as I anticipated. Pretty happy with my choice.....now let's see if they last more than a few years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay... I was in the market for really good wireless headphones and I've had many JBL speakers in my life so I decided to try out their headphones. I did some research on these and they had everything I wanted/needed. Sound quality is REALLY good, but they do really hurt my ears after about an hour. I bought these for work as well and people say they can't hear me well and I feel like I have to yell for them to be able to hear me. Overall, I will still use them for the gym or just to listen to music but I still find myself using my wired headphones for the work day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Earphones I love that these are wireless because my cat has chewed through many precious pairs. The battery lasts pretty long, and they fit well in me ears. The only downside is that sometimes they let through a little too much ambient noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice fit They are robust and fit great. The batter charger can be better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Useless for podcasts I like to listen to podcasts while I run, hike or bike. This headphones are useless for that purpose. TalkThru is useless because it does not pause podcast/music playing. So it continues to play in the back and together with the fact that there is no BACK button it makes podcast listening highly impractical. Ambient Aware & TalkThru are crap... sounding like you are on the beach. Even my budget active ear protection muffs do a better job at this. No button to go back?!? No physical button to adjust volume. Uncomfortable. I tried all three ear tips & enhancers and even the smallest is uncomfortable to wear. Of course this is subjective. Sound quality is decent. I returned them after one day, so I can not report on battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality. Long charge. Comfort These are by far the best in ear earphones for the price bracket. I’ve used them for 4 months straight every day including gym sessions and running. Even had them on in the shower (prob not recommended) and they haven’t faulted once. Quality is fantastic, really powerful I was impressed from the start. Found the perfect combo of attachments to get the right fit and barely even notice I’m wearing them. Honestly, great product.

Product Q&A

When using my JBL reflect flow ear buds and listening to the radio, when a caller calls me, I do not get any signal that the call has been answered by the JBL earbuds and the caller is already listening to me. How do I set an indicator of a call

you almost nailed it- these earphones are almost perfect. the volume issues aside, the only real unforgivable- is why no app where you can see how much power each earbud has? then you could confim the charging box is not working. - Fix!! please!

Bought the JBL Free's a month ago and they fit comfortably in my ear but when i go running they keep wanting to fall out once I start sweating... wondering if I should try another size ear piece or switch to something like the JBL Reflects?

Asked by: DLIV
We recommend trying out other earpiece sizes to find the right fit for you. If you wish, you can check out our JBL Endurance Sprint as it would be a good fit and is waterproof to handle even sweat for the most intense of runs. Visit this link for more information: https://bit.ly/2pOz7FQ

Do you have to use the ear tips? Or can you just put the cushions on

Asked by: ECH1978
For a comfortable and snug fit, we recommend using the ear tips on our JBL Reflect Flow. If you were to not use it, the fit wouldn’t be stable and it may not stay on your ear.

I bought JBL Reflect Flow air buds from Duty free Dubai, probably couple of months back, sound quality is great. I'm having only one issue, when air bud's battery drained, it doesn't recharge unless charging case connected with power source.

Please try to charge the charging case for at least 8 hours, unplug the power source and observe if it will charge the earbuds. If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Support at https://bit.ly/346JHYI

How do you charge the case

Asked by: Superior
The charging case of our JBL Reflect Flow can be charged using a micro-USB cable. The suggested charging time is 2-3 hours. The LED indicator at the back of the case shows the status of the charging process. i am a competitive swimmer and i was wondering if i would be able to wear these while practicing?

Asked by: elliec
While our JBL Reflect Flow is rated as IPX7 waterproof, you will experience an unstable connection as Bluetooth can’t travel through water. We recommend you check out our JBL Endurance dive. Aside from being waterproof and perfect for swimmers, it features a built-in MP3 player with 1GB of memory that allows you to store and access more than 200 of your favorite songs directly from your headphones. Check out our JBL Endurance Dive store page for more information through this link: https://bit.ly/34hobju.

is this dust andwater proof ?

Asked by: Njanja
Our JBL Reflect Flow is rated IPX7 meaning that it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It was also designed to handle the most intense runs or workouts in any weather wet or dry. We do recommend to regularly clean the earpieces once in a while with a dry cloth to avoid any issues in the long run.

It says these are water proof, does that mean you are able to swim with them?

Asked by: Anonymous
Our JBL Reflect Flow is rated IPX7 which means it is waterproof. It can be used during extreme workout sessions, when taking shower but not in swimming as Bluetooth signals don't pass through water.

Is it possible to get ear tips that are smaller than the small ones? My ears are tiny and the fit is still slightly too big with the smallest ones provided. I only have to smile or chew gum and they are falling out!

Asked by: Kafka
Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear that. The sizes of ear tips that are available are the ones provided in the box, I am afraid. Press the button for 5 seconds on either the Left or Right earbud. The earbuds will automatically charge when it's placed on the case. It will stop charging an earbud when it's fully charged.

My JBL reflectflow bluetooth gets disonencted from the PC laptop Dell Latitude 7410 after around between 5 and 10 minuets of correct functioning. Is there a new specific or new driver / update I should install from you?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thanks for reaching out. In most cases when a Laptop has issues connecting to your headphones, it's caused by your Laptop's Bluetooth driver (software). To download the correct driver (software), visit the manufacturer's website of your Laptop. They usually have a "Support/Download" section where you can find the correct driver. Otherwise, we advise you to contact their support.

I bought this yesterday and I like it. But the connection keeps dropping for like a second or two and then comes back up again. It is very frustrating. Can we solve this somehow?

Asked by: Trilok
Sounds like we need to do some troubleshooting. Let’s try a reset and see if that resolves the issue, please try the following steps: 1. Make sure to first un-pair or forget your JBL Reflect Flow from your smartphone/tablets paired list to avoid any issues when reconnecting after the reset. 2. Put the earpieces in the charging box and make sure it is on. 3. Press and hold the right earpiece button for more than 5 seconds. 4. The LED will then blink signifying the reset has been completed. 5. Reconnect your Reflect flow and test it by playing your favorite songs and observing how the connection is. Should the issue persist, please reach out to our Customer Support Team through this link: https://bit.ly/2BNp8Dr
