Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy set up, average sound quality I've been using these headphones for a few weeks and am impressed with how easy they are to setup, and the super long battery life. I've only charged them once so far and have used them for over 10 hours. I also like the charging case and find them easy to use. I found the sound quality average and a little tinny, and the buds have fallen out of my ears a few times. I've tried the different ear fittings but with any of these attachments, the buds feel too heavy to stay in if you're moving about. These would be a good mid range headphone for light activities. I also found them great for making phone calls with

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not great I have enjoyed using the Free II but I have been underwhelmed with the sound. Overall the sound is pretty flat. For a JBL product I was hoping for more punchy bass. But it just didn’t excite on any level. I can see me using them as backups for work around the house or mowing the lawn. But not as my daily drivers. Now what I do like is the fit and comfort. For my small ears they fit snug and comfortable. And they stay in place pretty well. I do have to push them back in if I jump or run. But it’s not terrible. To be honest I have yet to find a truly wireless headset that doesn’t dislodge after awhile.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! I was expecting JBL quality sound but unfortunately I found these earbuds to be flat. I tried a couple of different songs but was not impressed. So I decided to download the JBL app for iOS in order to use an equalizer and fine tune the sound. To my surprise the app did not support these earpods! I could not find any JBL app that works with this model. Moreover, the model name itself is quite confusing. These earbuds are called the JBL Free II but there is another model that is called the JBL Live Free 2. I believe the Live Free 2 earbuds support noise cancellation, wireless charging and are compatible with the JBL app. Although I haven't tried them I think those earbuds may be a much better option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good early buds but not amazing. Good ear buds but nothing about them make them stick out more than any of the other JBL ear buds. They are small and actually fit my ear the best out of all of the ones I have experienced and the charging case is very light which also, is better than others. The commands to control them could bring more user friendly with swiping of the buds instead of having to press on them for a few seconds. The noise canceling is on point and the sound quality was about expected, nothing to write home about. They do last a very long time without having to be recharged and the case fits in almost anything you carry or your pant pockets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Oh, that's why they're discounted presently I love JBL products and was excited to see these priced attractively. They arrived today. My immediate impression is that the sound is terrific and the build quality is solid. While giving this first listen, I happened to walk past a mirror and I laughed out loud. At least with my ear structure, these buds stick out more than most have and appear huge. I look a little funny (er, funnier than I usually look). Vanity alone has me thinking about giving them to one of my kids while looking for a JBL model with a smaller profile. But I'm definitely not sending these back. Getting JBL quality at this price is awesome.

Product Q&A

Hi, I lost one of the earbuds, what should I do? Do I have to buy a whole new pair?

Asked by: legnar03
Hey Man! I lost one too and they were no help to me either. Out of curiosity which one did you lose? Left or Right? I lost the Left one in black. If you lost the right one maybe we could sort something out here.

Dose it have noise cancelling And dose it work with the app

Asked by: Pandar
Thanks for your interest. Our JBL Free II TWS has a voice assistance (Siri, Bixby, Google) feature and Dual Connect, so you can use just the left or right side earbuds. This product isn't supported by our JBL App, nor does it have a noise-canceling feature.

Windows 10 is requesting a code to connect to the earbuds via bluetooth, but I do not kow which is that code.

Asked by: Javiergc
Our JBL Free II should be able to connect to any Bluetooth-capable device. In most cases when a Computer/PC/Laptop has issues connecting to a Bluetooth device (Portable speaker, Headphones, Active speakers), it's caused by your Computer/PC/Laptop's Bluetooth driver (software). The driver (software) should support the following Bluetooth protocols, to be able to play music/sound from your Computer/PC/Laptop: • A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) driver for your Computer/PC/Headphones to transfer music. • AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) driver to send skip/forward/pause/play music to your device Always get the latest driver version available for your Computer/PC/Laptop. To download the correct driver (software), visit the manufacturer's website of your Computer/PC/Laptop. They usually have a "Support/Download" section where you can find the correct driver. Otherwise, we advise you to contact their support. The standard drivers provided by Microsoft/Windows system are not correct and will result in error messages (such as having to enter a PIN code), or pairing will not work.

My left ear bud will connect but right ear bud will not. Is there a reset? I’ve tried to erase the device and reconnect it multiple times but all it does is flash and never connects

Asked by: Kclark
To manually reconnect the L and R earbuds of your JBL Free II, simply tap the touch controls of both earbuds three times. To perform a factory reset, double tap the button on the right earbud and hold the button for more than 5 seconds the third time. If the issue still persists, please contact our customer support for further assistance.
