Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product I got this a week ago and am super impressed it's sound is so good the bass and depth the speakers have put my Amazon echo to shame. Google assistant is also much better at understanding my accent and have not had a single word misunderstood unlike alexa who struggles to get what I'm saying. I love that I can cast to the screen and watch you tube or anything I want while I'm cooking in the kitchen it's the missing piece of my smart home puzzle it fitted in so easily and it hands down the best piece of smart tech I have ever owned. The only small fault I have was the camera is angled slightly high but that's a tiny thing for such an amazing product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!!!! I had a Lenovo Smart Display which was cool, but it was large, white with OK sound quality. I purchased the JBL Link View which is an amazing Smart screen speaker blends in better being black in my kitchen, is splash proof which is a huge plus for any kitchen and doesn’t take too much space in my opinion. The sound of course is much much better than the Lenovo model. This purchase will not disappoint you with its screen quality and sound.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good speaker, out of date software The hardware is good - nice sound, clear screen, good camera, works well. Unfortunately as of late December we are still waiting for the google assistant updates that have gone to the other Google driven speakers. This means key features that are available elsewhere, are missing here: - Allowing the speaker to operate as part of a multi-room setup - Improved Google Home Hub screen to control all home devices - Reply to broadcasts - Remove, share and favorite photos etc etc etc This does not bode well for this device, if it is already so far behind in the software updates. Unfortunately support aren't able to advise any date, or recognise the problem here. Best to avoid until JBL picks up their performance here.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible purchase It's a great speaker. One of the best bluetooth speakers I've ever owned. However, for this price, you can go buy a much nicer sound system because this is the stupidest "smart" speaker in the entire lineup of every IoT device in the market. Does not connect to Home Group. Does not support "Continuation" voice feature. The Google Home software just seems to be so different and unintuitive from the other Google Homes I have in my house. One positive I will say about this product is that it's very tough because one time I got so frustrated with how dumb this speaker was I punched it straight in the screen, and it's still working perfectly fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me What can I say about the JBL link view, well the first impression you get from the packaging is that you have purchased nothing special. I have to admit though it was easy to download the Google Home app and connect the link view. Unfortunately everything was downhill from there. I was unable to link my Smart TV or Smart Meter although I linked my Bluetooth speakers and phone I couldn’t get them to interact with the linkview. Overall I can’t see the point of the JBL Linkview as it doesn’t really do anything that I can already do with my phone hence I can’t recommend the JBL Linkview but then again you may be a lot more savvy with I.T. then I am.

Product Q&A

Will this support Multiroom Audio?

Asked by: DW141
It will not allow me to add it to a home group because it is for video, not audio. Its strange because the google hub allows you to add it to a home group; however, this does not.

There are conflicting answers on here as to whether the Link View can be added to a music home group in the Google Home app. Can someone please clarify whether or not this speaker can actually be added to a home group?

Asked by: Desjet24
Hello, I have a JBL Link view added to a speaker group to play music. I suspect that feature was part of the update that came post Google home hub launch. Now smart displays and Chromecast devices can be included in groups.

Ca I stream Spotify or a Video streaming service like Netflix on this?

Asked by: Hgarcia11
I stream Spotify all the time to this and works great ! As for chromecasting video, you can chromecast any app that has the chromecast icon available. Netflix does not allow casting but I have done it with HBO and works fine.

I'm having issues when streaming from Spotify, the songs are stopped at any moment and I have to say "Hey Google next" to continue playback, used to work well months ago and then got into this stoping situation, is there an update or fix to this issue??

Asked by: Juan Giraldo
Done, restarted the app on my Cellphone, deleted and installed again, updated, done everything, even reinstalled the google home app and it does not work. Have a couple of google home speakers and they work great, only issue is this JBL

Is there an ambient mode if you want to use it as a night stand display?

Asked by: Trey64
Hi! Yes can go into the GOOGLE HOME App, then click on the LINK VIEW. Next, click on the three dots, and then click on Ambient Settings, this is where you can setup any kind of custom slide show you want to.

does it allow for setting up pre-set tune in stations so the need to use call letters and frequency is not required for pre-sets. ie, allow for 6 presents so station can be changed simply by saying hey google, tune in pre-set #- - -

Asked by: Melman
Hello! Apparently, this would be a function of the Google Assistant. Unfortunately we are unable to answer the question, we would suggest contacting Google about that feature.
