JBL LINK VIEW is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!!!! I had a Lenovo Smart Display which was cool, but it was large, white with OK sound quality. I purchased the JBL Link View which is an amazing Smart screen speaker blends in better being black in my kitchen, is splash proof which is a huge plus for any kitchen and doesn’t take too much space in my opinion. The sound of course is much much better than the Lenovo model. This purchase will not disappoint you with its screen quality and sound.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lots of Potential Great sound and love that it has Chromecast! I bought this after I had returned my Amazon Echo Show due to its inability to use YouTube. I thought this would be great for my daughters to be able to watch videos through YouTube and it's something that entertains while cooking. I was happily surprised when I found out it used Chromecast and that I could watch videos casted from my phone and such, but it is still very limited. I cannot cast Netflix, which would be nice, I don't always spend a whole movie's worth of time in the kitchen, so a TV episode would be nice. I have a subscription to DirecTV Now and I can cast recorded movies and TV shows and it plays just fine. If I try to cast live TV it plays, but with no sound. This is the first time I have used google music and it is an alright music player. Usually when I ask the Link View to play music it is unpopular music that I have never heard, unless I sign up for a subscription. When I ask the Link View to play a station on Pandora with my linked account, it doesn't seem to recognize that I have that station and adds a new one (this is hit or miss). I don't use Spotify, that may be a better experience. Overall it sounds great, hence the JBL! The ability to use Chromecast is awesome, and being able to access YouTube is always a plus, again the reason I went from the Echo Show to the JBL Link View. But I don't know if it was entirely worth the switch. Especially now that Amazon has come out with a newer model of the Echo Show. If JBL and Google can fix these few things, I believe the JBL link view would top the competition, but until then, it has great potential.

Will this support Multiroom Audio?

Asked by: DW141
JBL Support tells me that the JBL Link View is a Stand Alone Unit. I bought the Link View to add to my Multi Room Audio but now realize that is not possible without some how adding Chrome Cast Audio to the Unit in addition to the Chrome Cast Video built in the unit.

does it allow for setting up pre-set tune in stations so the need to use call letters and frequency is not required for pre-sets. ie, allow for 6 presents so station can be changed simply by saying hey google, tune in pre-set #- - -

Asked by: Melman
Hello! Apparently, this would be a function of the Google Assistant. Unfortunately we are unable to answer the question, we would suggest contacting Google about that feature.

can I use it as an alarm clock (radio!?) with different alarms for each day? Can I use my iPhone to set different alarms?

Asked by: Miwanger
Yes, you can use the JBL Link View as an alarm clock with different alarms for each day. You just need to set it up with the Google home app and have the Google Assistant set this alarm for you on different days. Unfortunately, the JBL Link View is a stand alone Google device and you only use your phone to set it up through the Google Home app. You cannot use your iPhone to set up different alarms for it.

Which languages does it support? Does it understand Brazilian Portuguese?

Asked by: helderlima
As of the writing of this response, the Link View (and our other Link products) supports only 8 languages for now, and these are English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. For it to understand a specific language such as Brazilian Portuguese, it must be setup in the Google Home app as the language of choice upon setup.

Can you cast video from iphone to the jbl screen?

Asked by: Jacha
Hi! Apparently, you could not cast the video to the JBL Link view. This is because you could command it to play the video directly from the JBL Link View thru its built in Google Assistane & Chromecast.
