Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds awesome and the light show is beautiful. Bought this at a local Power shop in Finland. I bought this speaker because I always wanted a portable Bluetooth speaker that can pull off the light show perfectly, and I heard JBL is the best in the business of portable Bluetooth speakers. The Pulse 3 does not disappoint. Battery life is the longest I have ever had in any Bluetooth speaker. The light show looks great, no matter what kind of song you're playing. The only thing the light show doesn't deal with well is speech, like in narrated YouTube videos. But it's not meant to be, it' meant to react to music. I have only one so I haven't tested the Connect+ feature. Be aware that it does not connect to older JBL speakers, like ones that have regular Connect. Connect+ is a new feature. The two-sided USB charging lead is nice, no worries about which way it plugs into the wall adapter or any USB port. The micro USB side however is not reversible. It only goes in one way. The JBL Connect app works and lets you control many of the speaker's functions. It is also used to update the firmware of the speaker. If you're having trouble connecting, the app can also give you help connecting.

I put a lot of time and effort into researching my speakers and I’ve always know JBL speakers to be the best in the business. When I saw my friend with the JBL pulse 3, I knew I needed one. The lights were breathtaking and the sound for a small product was amazing! Love this product and I’m ready to take it everywhere.

Do the lights cause radiation of some sort.  Even with Bluetooth is this completely safe to use?

The LED lighting used in this device is technology used in modern light bulbs as well as the backlighting in smart phones, computers, tablets, and TV sets.

I have 2 pulse 3 speakers. is there a way to sync up the light shows on both speakers, currently I can only control the lights on the speaker directly connected via buletooth to my phone

Can this play underwater as it is seen in the photos?

You can definitely play it underwater but it will not sound as good as when you're playing it above water since the water proof feature is only made in avoiding damage through water spillage etc..

Hi, I just bought Pulse 3 and I have a firmware upgraded Charge 3 (to support connect+). Even after upgrade I cannot link the two speakers to each other through connect+. Are there any known issues?

The JBL Charge 3 is only capable of JBL Connect as of the moment. There has been no updates yet to the Charge 3 to be compatible with the JBL Connect+.

Does anyone have a problem with the battery life? In the product specs it says it will last 12 hours. At best we are getting 3 hours on a charge :(

The Battery of the Pulse 3 lasts up to 12 hours (varies by volume level and audio content). If you don't have the lights on and still get 3 hours then ,please submit a case request at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

Is it safe to keep the Pulse 3 charging at all times while displaying its light show?

Yes, it is completely safe to leave the PULSE 3 connected to the power whether it is in use or not. Take note that using the PULSE 3 while plugged in will prolong the charging time.
