Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound I bought these to replace a set of blown-up KRK Rokit 5s (G2) because the amp sections had died, probably bad caps in the amp section. Replacing the amp sections was economically unfeasible so I found these online and decided to take the plunge. What a pleasant surprise. JBL hits another home run!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not really a sweet spot The sound quality of these speakers is incredible, but they suffer from trying to be too many different things at once. They don't really work as general listening or computer speakers – the sound is too flat and just nowhere near as immersive as you could get from other options at the same price-point; your ears will be left wanting. They *also* don't really work as hi-fi or monitor speakers, due to the absence of bass (which is very noticeable). I thought these would be a decent substitute for the 305s, which were out of stock, but I was pretty disappointed. I would suggest if you are looking for monitors even at the intro level to just save up for something slightly more expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Laptop Installed the 104-BT’s 8-6-20. Just regular sound was bassy but I adjusted the EQ lows down a little and increased the highs and the sound quality was GREAT. Very pleased with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great studio reference monitors. These are some of the best speakers I've ever owned. They are amazing for listening to music casually or using them as serious studio monitors when creating music.

Product Q&A

My 104's aren't picking up my laptop's Bluetooth signal. My laptop hasn't given me issues with any other Bluetooth device. I keep turning them off and on but nothing is happening as far as the Bluetooth picking them up. They are brand new. Help, please.

Asked by: HEROMUNDO
Hold the input select button on your speakers until you see blue light blinking then search for jbl 104-bt on your laptop bluetooth settings and pair it.

Just bought 104-BTs when turned off from laptop they return to speakers on laptop and have to be reset everytime.

Asked by: james1
Hello, we're not entirely sure we understand the situation, but here's our best attempt at helping: Consumer Bluetooth devices (headphones, etc.) automatically connect to a known device (phone, etc.) immediately after a device is turned on. Because these speakers have multiple input sources, it does not default to the Bluetooth input when powered on, thus requiring you to physically press the Bluetooth button when they’re ready to sync the speakers to a device. Hopefully this helps, but please reach out to HARMAN Support if you continue experiencing issues.

How far apart can the 2 speakers be placed?

Asked by: sr2884
The speakers have to be placed at arm's length for optimal sound output. Check out the diagram on page 2 of our Quick Start Guide here: https://jblpro.com/en/site_elements/jbl-104-bt-quick-start-guide

Just purchased your 104-BT Monitors. Is there any way to disable that annoying blast of intro noise when you first turn on the monitors? The monitors seem solid. Still getting used to the shape of the monitors.
