3/4" titanium-laminate tweeters
The extremely thin but rigid titanium-laminate dome delivers accurate, undistorted high frequency response, even when the volume is way up. The end result is a full, clear, tight reproduction of high frequencies.

Dual 3-1/2" midrange drivers with patented PolyPlas™
Your movies have rich, smooth, detailed sound. When it comes to the critical center channel, the CS480 steps up, using dual 3-1/2-inch midrange drivers reinforced with stiff, lightweight PolyPlas™ to make dialogue sound clear and natural.
8", 125-watt PolyPlas subwoofer
The JBL® CS480 creates bass with a powerful punch, using an 8-inch, 125-watt subwoofer. To increase rigidity, the CS480 uses a patented JBL PolyPlas™ driver. PolyPlas™ material is lightweight but strong, reproducing low frequencies effortlessly, with maximum impact.
FreeFlow™ bass reflex port
The FreeFlow™ bass reflex port has computer-optimized geometry to maximize tight, deep bass response while eliminating unwanted turbulence and noise. The result? A home theater system with true, wall-rattling bass that will make your music and movies even more exciting.
Accurate frequency response
Nothing is over- or under-emphasized. You get a true, full sound range from deep bass tones to ultra-high frequencies. The satellites have a frequency response of 110Hz to 20kHz, the center channel is 100Hz to 20kHz and the subwoofer is 110Hz to 20kHz.
Magnetically shielded for video proximity
Arrange the JBL® CS480 any way that makes sense. Components of this full, state-of-the-art JBL Cinema Sound system are magnetically shielded for placement on the floor wherever you want, including right near your TV or video display.
