Can these amps be used with 8 ohm speakers?

Asked by: Madou
That answer makes no sense. 8 Ohm speakers will provide LESS load ( higher resistance to current flow) and therefore will cause LESS power to be drawn from the amp.

Not sure if I'm going to hook up using normal 18w speaker output wires or use the pre-amp wires out. Can it do either?

I have a MBB-2.3 radio in my boat that has started working only intermittently.  Is there something I can replace it with and keep the same face plate?

The ma6002 is factory installed in my boat. It cuts out and the lights flash every 1/2 hr. Do I need to make an adjustment?

Asked by: DblD
Please unplug all speaker wires from the amp and see if the amp stays on. If it does, the amp is okay. Now begin reconnecting one speaker at a time until you find the bad speaker or speaker wire. If it does not stay on when nothing is connected, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

Will this amp be ok to use with a dual input subwoofer rated at 1.5 ohms on each input? I would connect each channel from the amp to each input on the subwoofer separately, no bridging.
