Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sound We have two 818s and two 835s that sound great and can be heard nearly a mile away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality, Reliable Sound Now nearing our third year using the 835s as our FOH main speakers (with JBL subs, of course!) for our consistently-performing Modern Country/Classic Rock outfit, doing concerts with up to 600 in attendance; HIGH-QUALITY sound that reaches the back rows with clarity and punch... Nothing beats JBL components being unleashed through Crown power! THANKS, JBL for helping us "carry our show" to the people!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Full Range Speaker with some minor defects Upon purchase and arrival of two of these beasts at my house I was underwhelmed when one of the speakers resembled a blown low frequency driver. After calling the authorized dealer I purchased these from I sent that one back and got a new one. Everything was sound. They sound amazing and the technology that went into the mid frequency driver is amazing. Recently here I did a rental with my equipment and some bass heads decided to run a little too much bass through one of my speakers and the low frequency driver appears to have some problem. (I cannot for sure tell because the warranty does not allow me to take apart the enclosure). Overall this is a great speaker for just about any use. I would recommend to preserve you speakers and make sure bass heads dont blow them up you purchase either the SRX 828 or something of the sort. If you plan to use the app that comes along with these be prepared to find a copy online as they have yet to update it or support the newest Android versions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk, Not What JBL Used To Be! I bought a pair of these with JBL Bags Summer 2016. Fall 2017 an amp module goes bad mid gig, locks up and won't allow for any control. Thankfully it was warrantied but the closest center was 1.5 hrs away which proved inconvenient. Sound repair guy said that it is common on the newer JBL units. They don't even trouble shoot, just swap out modules as it's cheaper vs labor. New units have 510W on amp module while the older ones have 310W listed Now the amp module on the other one developed a crack on the LCD screen despite being in bags all their use. The JBL bags have padding on the front protecting the grill but nothing on the back protecting the amp, how illogical! Disappointing as we were JBL fanatics up until recently (4 JBL PRX 618S-XLF Tanks, various tops). Please make speakers like you used to!!!
