Why it take 5 hours to charge the battery if it only 2500mah my phone has more than 2500mah and it take 2 hours to charge
Cause the voltage is different, your phone most likely runs on 3.7 volts, while the speaker runs on 14.4 volts, this means that a battery at 2500 mah and 3.7 volts holds 9.3 Wh of energy, while the battery at 2500 mah and 14.4 volts holds 36 Wh of energy. This would be the main reason, but theres also a bunch of other factors, one of them being that it doesn't make any sense for JBL to spend huge amounts of money trying to make the battery charge as fast as possible.

When charging my partybox 100 whilst playing it, is power taken straight from the cable to the drivers, or does it charge the battery as the battery powers the drivers? Many thanks.

What is the max SPL for the Partybox 100?
@Chastine - The Watts rating is a measurement of power consumption - it is not a measure of sound level. Two different speakers of 160 watts with different efficiencies could have vastly different maximum sound levels.
@The original poster -Form various Youtube videos I've watched the top measure measurements (via Bluetooth) when plugged in are around 108 dB - this will drop 3dB to 105 dB when running on battery

Can a DJ controller work with this? I notice there is only AUX in and out on the back of this speaker.
I have used DJ Controllers with this speaker just fine, you will need an appropriate cable. I used an RCA to 3.5mm stereo cable from the Main Out on the DJ Controller.
Note that DJ Controllers generally can add significantly more gain to an audio signal than consumer devices and so you would need to exercise caution in not sending excessively clipped signals to he speaker as this could damage the speaker - it is unlikely this speaker as any clip protection built-in.

Can you turn the light mode off?

I have JBL 100 that is a little over a year old. the orange power light is lit but will not power on, will not show it is charging, will not connect to bluetooth and will not play music.
I held down the power for about 10 seconds. It finally shut off. The stayed off for another few seconds then the bow powered up like normal.

What is the maximum distance the partybox 100 can connect to another 100 system with TWS
Our JBL PartyBox 100 speakers can play in stereo in TWS mode with a distance of 10 meters, making sure that there is a clear line of sight between both speakers and the Bluetooth enabled source for optimal results.
