After one week use.
I've had these for a week. Right away, one thing you have to do is download the app and play around with the acoustic settings to make them sound better or at least make them better suited for you depending on your liking, which is a plus.
They are comfortable, light weight and don't fatigue your ears too much after wearing them for long periods of time.
The battery on these is perfect. I went all week using them without having to charge them. I did use them for 2-3 hours a day for 7 days.
Another great thing about these headphones is that they feel durable, and look great.

Absolutely wonderful!
This is exactly what I wanted from a headphones which doesn't have active noise cancellation. I know it sounds like a bad thing, but I don't like active noise cancellation headphones because they muffle the sound, it takes away the bass from the music. But these ones are wonderful, they are bit tight which provide wonderful passive noise cancellation environment. The sound is wonderful, it has clarity which one requires to watch a movie, it also has decent amount of bass to enjoy the music.
Honestly, I love these headphones, and in it's way it is kinda perfect.

500BT Two Years Later
I got these headphones in the summer of 2020. Honestly the battery life is amazing, you can go a full week on one charge. Headband is comfortable as long as you don't wear it all day long.
Unfortunately they fall apart pretty quickly. Within the first few months the leather on the inside of the ear started coming off. Now almost two years later the leather on the left ear cup is coming off entirely and it's almost unusable.
I really don't feel like I was aggressive with the ear cups and I expected a pair of $150 headphones to last longer.

Perfect Headphones with Great Sound!!!
Nice headphones with very good sound. Excellent build quality with nice comfy pads. The sound isolation is very good, I guess because the earpads are very tight. Ambient Aware and TalkThru features are the best features which make these a perfect headphone. The headphones are very comfy even after having them on for long hours.
The battery is as advertised. You can get close to 30 hours of playtime upon full charge. Nice quick charging feature which gives 2 hours of playtime with 15 minutes of charge. I am a big fan of JBL technological advancements, Google Assistant is one such advancement to this headphones.
I had problems using headphones for answering call with my other headphones, but not on this. Active mode works excellent for calls. Nice sound and voice clarity.
Cons:
It has decent amount of bass, but feel it can better. The buttons placement can be better. You have to get accustomed to buttons usage, not easy for the first go around.

Sound volume is low! Did not meet my expectation!
My headphone keeps making this plastic cracking sound when I turn my head left and right. Button control is suck. Build quality is cheap plastic. Comfort level is good. No bass at all on stock sound profile. I have to download the app to put the bass boost mode on. Even with bass boost mode enable, I can still heard sound distortion on medium sound volume. Sound volume is low like I have to crank it up to 70% - 80% volume. Decent passive noise.cancellation. I am thinking of returning this unit for a refund. Did not meet my expectation especially the sound volume department. Save your money and get something that has good sound volume at 50% volume.

I want to listen to my analog stereo system with these headphones. Can I do this by connecting a Bluetooth transmitter to the stereo?

Can you control the volume of the TV from the headphone
Our JBL Live 500BT is designed to be connected with mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. You may experience audio-video delays when connected with your TV. The volume will be adjusted if you have it connected with the recommended devices, it may not work the same way if it is connected with your TV.

When i connect my jbl live 500bt with my phone so sometimes it connects with call and audio but maximum of time it connect with only audio
Please check if the Phone audio/Phone calls is selected in your Bluetooth Menu when you're using it for calls. There are times that media audio is active then the mic will not work. If you need more help, please reach out to us at https://support.jbl.com/us/en/
