Rated 5 out of 5 by from Balanced audio First of all, E35 is not for bass heads but it does not mean that it has no bass at all. It has plenty of clear & deep bass, natural mid tones and precise treble. These headphones produce balanced sound with a lot of detail. There is absolutely no need to use equalizer in the music player. With extra bass headphones, you might miss some of the instruments in music, but with these you get the right amount of bass without muddling other frequencies. Moreover, the headphones are beautifully designed. They look and feel as great as they sound. E35 is a very good pair of headphones. I recommend it for anyone who wants crystal clear sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Audio Quality! These are my first set of headphones to use with my phone. I usually buy earbuds because of how small they are. But these JBL E35's are just incredible! They sound so clear, they have really nice highs and mids. The bass is also pretty good to, I listen to allot of heavy metal and these headphones make my music really come to life. The build quality is also really nice to, the built in Mic also works great! I see JBL makes a bluetooth version of these to which I might buy in the near future. Overall I'm a big fan of JBL products. Their recent generation of audio products has really been a joy to use. If your in the market for an affordable set of headphones I'd say give these a serious look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from White JBL E35’s I tried to upload some pics but got an “error occurred message” I bought these about 2 weeks ago over the JBL E45BT’s, mainly because the larger drivers ( which reproduce a better overall sound ) Now first I use a iPhone 5s and the sound from these is Superb!! Of course lol really clear, no distortion on max volume, great bass, good Mids, and great Highs!!, Great solid build quality usin metal, however, my right earcup has less resistance when rotatin causin a much easier rotation, than my left earcup, but I believe I can tighten the 2 or 3 screws keepin it on the headband, for the price I’m very certain you won’t be able to find better quality

Hello, is there any leather or animal based materials used in construction?

Our E35 and other E series headphones are made with synthetic protein leather that is completely animal free and are soft for your ears so it won't hurt.

How do I adjust the volume using the remote?

The E35 has a One-button universal remote with microphone that can be used in playing/pausing music or answering calls. It does not have a control for increasing or decreasing the volume. As an alternative, you can control the volume on your source device.

Are these headphones compatible to airplane outlets?

Hi! The JBL E35 comes with the standard 3.5mm jack. Most airlines require headphones to have an airplane adapter which are not included with the E35 headphones. But any aftermarket airplane adapter should work with airplane outlets.

No, the E35 do not use batteries since it is not Bluetooth-enabled. It will only work when plugged in to your device.

Is the headphones made of metal or plastic?  Also is the hinge plastic or metal?

Hi. The main parts of the headphones are made of plastic. The hinge is metal, and the swivel rod is 7mm plastic. The size adjustment arms are metal. We hope this helps.

Can you workout with these ? are they sweatproof?

The JBL E35 is not a sweat proof headphone and are not designed for rigorous workouts. Over exposure to sweat can compromise the controls . We recommend looking at our available athletic headphone models at http://www.jbl.com/sport-headphones/
