Napier Lopez of TNW reviewed the JBL 4309 stating that the 4309 is another example of JBL’s excellent speaker design.

Lopez noted that the speakers are a solid example of modern acoustic design while appealing to retro aesthetics and nostalgia. To test out the sound, Lopez put the JBL 4309 through his in-depth test setup providing spinorama graphs of the results.
