Dual 5-1/4" (130mm) ribbed PolyPlas woofer cones

Powerful bass affects more than just your ears. It resonates through your entire body, creating a soundscape that you can feel as well as hear. The JBL Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker delivers accurate low-frequency sounds from a pair of 5-1/4-inch (130-millimeter) ribbed PolyPlas woofers. The ribs improve strength, while reducing distortion. The result is rich, powerful, articulate bass.

1" (25mm) high-frequency compression driver

The JBL Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker’s high-frequency compression driver lowers distortion and provides a wider dynamic range than is possible from conventional high-frequency and midrange drivers. The tweeter comprises a one-piece Teonex® diaphragm/surround assembly fitted with a 1-inch (25-millimeter) voice coil that can deliver enhanced vocal articulation.

The Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker features a glass-filled ABS Bi-Radial high-frequency horn that delivers professional-level sound to your home.

null

Low-loss, two-way crossover network

The Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker’s low-loss, two-way crossover network ensures a clean transition for sound coming from individual low- and high-frequency drivers, thereby reducing distortion while improving clarity.

Sturdy 3/4" (19mm) MDF enclosure

The Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker’s cabinet is built with the same attention-to-sound-perfection as every other component. Rigid, heavily braced materials prevent unwanted resonance, while non-parallel surfaces eliminate sound interference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as it gets! I had the studio 530's before, but did not really set them up properly. This time, I was prepared. I was able to purchase two 8" stands before they arrived. I wanted to use them in my bedroom, and this height was perfect. Also, I did not understand the purpose of the top horn cover. This time, I did everything properly, and was definitely rewarded with a great sound experience. As some reviewers have said, the speakers just disappear, and you just get a wall of music. You really can't go wrong with these for music and movies. No sub needed in the bedroom. These are driven by a Marantz MM7025 amp. The stands/platforms were under $7.00 each.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The greatest mini towers I've had these speakers for 6months and they've been broken in nicely. The sound is just incredible. Before the break in period they sounded stiff anorexic no bass flat high end. I've ran them non stop for the entire time. These miniature floor standers have bloomed in every respect. Bass is full tight, room filling. The other day I had turned my subs off and I forgot to turn them back on. It took a few days until I realized that they weren't on. And with subwoofers there's no limit to the dynamics I'm getting with these things. I'm driving them with the BGW C-440 475 watt rms. professional amplifier. A Monolith HTP-1 processor is driving the train.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rock speakers I've had these for two months, just breaking them in. They are fantastic. Tight bass, open midrange, very clear tweeter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Baby floor-standers Outstanding baby floor standers. I’ve always been a jbl fan and now own these 570s, the 530s, the 520c, and the arena 130s with various crown xls amps. The 570s are fun speakers with just enough bump and detailed, non-fatiguing highs. The dual 5.25”drivers have heavy motor structures mounted in well built cabinets that have a polarizing waterfall- Batman looking style. I enjoy the look, especially the sound and plan on owning these a long time. When on sale, just get them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sounding speakers! I use these back of an acoustically transparent projection screen. The design of the 570 speaker is excellent. These speakers and many others were designed by Mr Greg Timbers who was a designer/engineer working at JBL for many, many years. Another incredibly idiotic corporate decisions when JBL unceremoniously discharged him!

Product Q&A

Have the Studio 570 been discontinued?  I am heavily considering pairing these as my surround sound speakers.  I currently have the 530 as surrounds, would this be overkill?  My front channels are covered by two 590s and a 520c.

Asked by: Poolie
It's currently available! I just got one for center channel. The 530s are perfect for surrounds but if you feel the need for more rear bass then they're good but it may be overkill. Also not necessary if your crossover is set at 60-80hz for rears.

what's the best JBL subwoofer to pair with these?

Asked by: billymac
The STUDIO 570 speakers have an RMS wattage rating of 150 watts. Assuming your receiver puts out 150 RMS per channel, the STUDIO SUB 260P is a perfect match. The general rule when selecting a sub is to make sure it has at least twice the per channel wattage rating of the receiver. Peak ratings are marketing tools and should not be considered seriously when matching speaker and amplifiers.

Would the Studio 570s, 530s, and 520C be compatible with a Sony STRK-670P AV Receiver?

Asked by: Nino
Thanks for reaching out. Our JBL Studio 530 series speakers can be connected to a 2 channel or a 9 channel receiver amplifier as long as its power output is within the power handling capabilities of the speaker per channel. Subjecting the speaker to a power output higher than what is recommended may damage the speaker in the long run.
