Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound I upgraded my in wall speakers to the jbl 8” set when they went on clearance for $89.99 a set. Best choice I made. The sound is so much clear and more depth then the mica ones I had installed! Perfect! Couldn’t be happier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great in wall speaker set! Just got them in the walls of my garage for the tv and stereo system, and with that 8" woofer there is no need for a subwoofer for deep bass, the mids and highs are spot on for the ultimate JBL deal!

What center channel would work best with these in a 7.1 setup? Arena, studio etc?

Asked by: jonnyb27
Hello! Currently we only have the Studio 520C and the Studio 235C. These center speakers are similar except that the Studio 235C has a bigger speaker.

Can these be installed where there's no back wall (free air)? Would the sound be altered when installed in this configuration?

Asked by: Xixon
The SP8II was designed to be used without a box, free air shouldn't be a problem and the sound quality should still be the same.

I'm trying to install this in my media room. The wall that it needs to go in opens up into the attic. This wall is lined with insulation. Am I able to install this speaker without removing the insulation?

I plan to install them in exterior wall and would like to insulate the wall with rockwool insulation. What are your recommendations, how tight i can staff insulation around the speakers and not to compromise the sound quality?

Are they hard wired or Bluetooth

Asked by: Rich4251
The JBL SP8II is hard wired in a sense that you'll need an amplifier/receiver to get them to make sound.

I plan to buy 2 pairs of in wall speakers for center and rear surround. If I buy one pair SP6II and one pair SP8II, which one should I put it as center surround? Or I should go with both pairs same model?

Asked by: Ed_22
The SP6II and SP8II are not used as a center speaker. It can be used as a front or surround speakers. You may want to check the Studio 235C that you may use as a center speaker.

Should we need to add subwoofer with these speakers for surround sound in room

Asked by: Agarwal
The SP8 II can be used as front or rear speakers in a surround setup, and a subwoofer is optional, depending on your setup and your receiver. If you are planning a 5.1 surround sound setup, then you would need a subwoofer.
