what reciver o dvd player I need for this sistem

Asked by: Papo
The CINEMA 510 are passive speakers with a powered subwoofer. This would require an amplifier or receiver to work. Since the CINEMA 510 speakers can handle up to 100W of power at 8-ohms, it follows that you get a receiver that can driver power not more than a 100W at 8-ohms.

Will this setup work with the Harman Kardon AVR-1610S?

Asked by: irishspeedemon
The only potential issue when using this AVR and the Cinema 510 speakers is that the speakers have an impedance of 4 ohms. The AVR is rated for 6-8 ohms. This is a small difference, but at higher volume levels, it could cause the AVR to run warmer than normal. Although this is not likely, we recommend keeping the AVR in an open, well ventilated environment when used with these speakers. Or you can choose our HKTS series and it would be most compatible with our AVR since our HKTS speakers have an impedance of 8 ohms as well.

I recently brought cinema 510 speaker with HK AVR151. But I have a problem with speaker wire length. I'm planning to buy new wires for my rear speakers which is like 30ft frm the receiver. So wht AWG should I go for? and default wire gauge wth this pack?

Asked by: Parvez
The CINEMA 510 comes with 18 gauge wire. Thick wire gauges (14 or 16 gauge) are recommended for long wire, high power and or low-impedance speaker applications.

I have connected this to jbl avr 101 but the sub woofer is rattling at explosion scenes and other places where sudden bass is involved in movies, but plays fine when music is played even heavy  bass any idea?

Asked by: Karthick
What you are experiencing may be due to the CINEMA 510’s subwoofer being on a very high level, thus causing distortion/rattling when the AVR requires playing loud, sudden, low-frequency sounds. There is a SUBWOOFER LEVEL adjustment on the back of the subwoofer that you can adjust accordingly.

Hi! Is CINEMA 510 compatible with ONKYO TX-NR656 7.2 channel AV receiver?

Asked by: rodbuf
The CINEMA 510 speaker can handle up to 60 watts. So, as long as you receiver puts out 60W per channel or less, these speakers will work fine.

Which receiver you recommend for Cinema 510?

Asked by: Myo Kyaw Thet
The CINEMA 510 speaker can handle up to 60 watts @ 4ohms. You can get any Amp or AVR that can support a 4 ohm load and puts out 60W per channel or less, and these speakers will work fine.

Dear Sir, kindly clarify my below doubts. 1. Jbl cinema 510 what is the Nominal Impedance: 4 Ohms ? or 8 Ohms in manual its written 4 ohms . if its 4 ohms how it will match with AVR 151. which delivers 8 ohms. please clarify.  Rinu

Asked by: rinu
As shown under the specs above, CINEMA 510's Nominal Impedance is 4 Ohms and what is written on the manual is absolutely correct. The AVR 1510 (AVR 151-International model) can run 4 ohm speakers at modest volume levels. However, if you intend to use high volume levels for extended periods, it will protect itself by going into stanby mode to keep from completely frying itself. That being said, if you're looking for a home theater system to match the AVR 151, here are the general rules to picking out speakers for your system. 1. Make sure the receiver can handle the impedance/ohms of the speakers. Typical impedance and 8 ohms is almost never a problem. 2. Make sure that the speakers you choose can handle the power rating of your receiver. If you have a 100 watt per channel receiver, be sure the speakers you choose have a wattage rating of 100 watts or higher. 3. Stick with the same series of speaker, so that all of the speakers have the same sonic tonal quality, giving you a seamless transition when sound travels from one speaker to another. For example, if you select the ARENA 180 floor standing speakers for your front speakers, be sure to select the ARENA series center and bookshelf speakers for your rears.
