Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trully Amazing Amazing Sound for a speaker this size, really easy to setup and works so well with my google home. I have created a group so that it plays around the house. I am sure it will not be long before I buy another 1 or 2 or 3............. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The chromecast speaker I've been waiting for I've got plenty of chromecast devices plugged into soundbars and speakers, but I've been looking for a decent sounding, small speaker with cast built in. This is it. The sound is great and the simplicity of setting it up and using it is just as you'd expect from a Chromecast device. At £89 this is a steal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This may be what you want to hear! The sound is of a good quality. The Bass & Treble are fine. It works - both Bluetooth & Chromecast. I have it running from Google Play Music loaded in the Chrome browser on my laptop. Also from a Google Pixel mobile phone. Check out the best Music Player App on Android - Cloud-Player by DoubleTwist - it works well to play your music from google Drive or MS One Drive. JBL, please keep including Chromecast. If you buy a few of these you can build an all over the house music system sourced from your phone or laptop by using Chromecast Groups. If there is a negative it's that the lead is too short (but easy to replace with a longer one for a fiver). And now, the answer to the Acid Test question: Yes, I would buy another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chromecast goodness I bought this speaker a couple of weeks ago and it has been excellent. The main reason I went for this model was because of the built in Chromecast, it works flawlessly and was a breeze to set up. The sound quality is quite reasonable for this price point too.

When I start play music via Spotify Connect music starts but after several seconds there is only silence for several seconds and after that music plays again. When I use Google Cast (from Spotify or any other app) there are no issues. What the problem?

Asked by: jbltester
I believe for Spotify 'Connect' to work you must have a paid subscription to Spotify. It will not work properly for a free account.

Hello, is there a pilot to connect my laptop to the speaker? The PC sees the speaker, but it doesn't play any sound... and if I "cast" via wifi there is a sound latency so it's not ideal.

Hi there, I am planning to buy the JBL Playlist, for now I cast most of the time using the google chrome cast attached to my TV and having the sound from my TV speaker. Is it possible to View on my TV and having the sound on My JBL speaker when I cast?

Asked by: DES09
Unfortunately we can't answer this. This is a question for your TV manufacturer or whatever source they are using to cast to your TV. If you are using a source, and the source is able to cast to 2 units at once, the TV for video and the speaker for audio, then it will work. It's up to the source component.

[PROBLEM] I have sound delay issue. When JBL Playlist is connected via Bluetooth or WIFI there is a 0,5 to 1 second lag. It's very annoying while watching movies on YouTube. How to fix it?

Asked by: mikepoland
The JBL PLAYLIST is mainly designed for audio playback so using Bluetooth connection from the speaker to the TV will encounter this Lip-Sync issue. It is because the Video and Audio playback of the TV takes time to be process via Bluetooth going to the speaker. However, if you will be using wired connection via an Auxiliary cable, this will reduce the process of Audio Playback and it will resolve the Lip-Sync delay issue.

If using the Aux input for sound (e.g., from TV/projecter home theater setup), will the aux audio input be able to be casted to other connected chromecast audio speakers for a multi-room/surround sound effect?

Asked by: djptheman
Regardless, if it's Aux or Bluetooth, The JBL PLAYLIST does not cast to other devices.
