The JBL Horizon clock radio wakes you up with one of several original wake up sounds, one of five programmable radio presets, music from your smartphone or tablet played wirelessly via Bluetooth® or a traditional buzzer. The Horizon features two separate customizable alarms in a compact design that fits easily on any nightstand or kitchen shelf. Rated 5 out of 5 by from ideas on how to make it perfect first of all the design is just awsome but I've got a few ideas that would make the JBL Horizon the Perfect Alarm Clock ever and its to add a few features which are : 1- making the center screen Swivel so that it would give me the choice of listening to music when the speaker is towards me and also whenever I like to use it as alarm making the light and the screen facing me, all I have to do is to swivel the center screen, this would make it much cooler in my opinion 2- upgrade the the USB ports to 1.5 amp & another one 2.0 amp for tablets for much faster charging and maybe adding usb c Port. 3- adding temperature & Humidity Sensor this is such great feature to add. 4- making the back of the center screen a passive radiator and upgrade a bit powerful speakers. 5- last but least maybe adding laser projector that project the time on the wall. hope that you put this in consideration and feed me back what you think.

Hi, I wake up every morning with radio alarm, but I cannot set it at a certain volume. The radio starts at a low volume and a few seconds after gets louder and louder. I can´t stand it and I have to turn it off. It´s not a gently wake up at all.

I have the same trouble. I think the brand will hear us and change it because otherwise they will loose a lot of money.

Will you have a fix allowing to control the FM radio volume in alarm mode? I have SW version 26 and the Bluetooth alternative is not suitable for me. I like the device quality, but this issue makes it so unusable I'm thinking of returning it. Thank you.

Same problem here. Initially I was very happy with the alarm. I had is as a gift. But the increasing volume is really disturbing. I only wish to wake myself up, not the entire neighbourhood. That's why I will send it back to you. It shouldn't be too hard to fix that or am I mistaken?

I can't read the LED display unless I flash my cellphone light directly at the light sensor. Can it really be true that I can't manually adjust this?

Same problem here, it is not visible in most lighting conditions, the only solution is to place another lamp close to the device so that the dim function is forced to enhance the display level. Strange R&D!

Hi In the morning with the alarm set to wake you up on the radio setting, the volume gets way to loud too quickly! I checked my software version and it is version 22. Is there a way to update this software?  Many thanks

This has been addressed and corrected with production software version 025. Unfortunately, there is no way to control the volume of the wake-up alarm sound on the HORIZON. The update for the HORIZON cannot be done over-the-air download. I noticed that you are in South Africa. If this doesn't help, please contact the store where you purchased it and they will be able to help, or at least guide you to the people that can.

I use device as a wake-to-music alarm clock. Is there any wait to set it so that the radio goes off on its own after a given time? Otherwise I find it blaring away when I return home after a few days away.

If you don't turn off the alarm, Horizon's alarm sounds for 3 minutes, then it shuts off, or rather it goes into snooze, for 9 minutes. Then it sounds the alarm again for 3 minutes, followed by snooze for another 9 minutes. After this final snooze period, it starts playing, and keeps on playing until it is manually shut off.

Hi JBL, I just bought my JBL horizon. I wish to set my favorite FM but it always goes back to first channel. How do I set my favorite FM radio? Thank you

To set your favorite FM radio on the HORIZON, press and hold the FM radio button for 2 seconds until the radio station indicator will light up. Tune the radio to the station you want, and then press the middle button to store the station. To set presets, same procedure as before but the preset (P1-P5) should light up this time. If the issue persists, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-product.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

Hello great product, very good sound, but increasing radio alarm to 11 is really anoying and tooooo loud. Please make realy fast update that radio alarm is fix, if I set alarm radio on level 4, alarm should increase from 1 to 4. If not I turn back clock.

I went to BigBang but no solution. They said that they wait your SW update. So update should be, when alarm is set to radio no volume increasing & after 1 or 2 hour radio should off automatically. Could you make update very fast, otherwise this product is not for me, I'll return soon, and I think other customers also. Not fine for so great product.

Hallo! I have mini ipad 3. Is it true that fast charger (in jbl horizon) is only for iphone, not ipad? I mean, i understood that the charger will not charge my ipad fast , is it true? Thanks, sasa.
