Listen with more than just your ears.

Powerful, enveloping bass can make you feel transplanted into another place, whether it’s the high-energy action of a movie or the middle of a rocking concert hall. JBL® engineers have designed and optimized the Studio SUB150P powered subwoofer to create that very sense of losing yourself within sound playback to create the foundation for an immersive, realistic experience. The SUB150P includes a powerful 300-watt, 10-inch (250-millimeter) low-frequency driver that fires downwards instead of outwards, a configuration that prevents unwanted interaction with walls and the sound reflections that result from the interaction. Instead, sound travels upwards through the room, resulting in clean, crisp bass.

SUB150P is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stands the test of time! I've had my JBL SUB150P for about 5 years now. It's still in my home theater, even though I have upgraded other components. This powered sub is built like a tank! Very durable. It's made it through 3 moves. It produces deep, gut rumbling lows. It compliments the JBL Tower fronts, JBL Studio 120 rear surrounds, and Polk Audio C10 center perfectly. Too bad this was a discontinued model because it's pretty timeless!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Probably 6 * out of 5. Because it is way too much powerful. I am setting it to about 50% of volume. On higher volumes it rattles everything and gives ear pain.

Can this subwoofer connect with my jbl soundbar wireless to add more bass to a large room.? The soundbar I have already has one powered sub, wireless of course.

Asked by: Seanzilla
Our soundbars are stand-alone units and additional speakers cannot be connected to it, may it be wired or wireless. So no, the SUB150P must be connected to an audio/video surround sound receiver in order to function.

Can this speaker play by itself or does it need something else to go with it? Like another speaker for treble...?

Asked by: Benjamin
This is purely a powered subwoofer. It is only able to play the really deep bass that causes the rumble. You cannot use any powered subwoofer on its own. It must be used with a full speaker system.
