Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sound reproduction!... I bought JBL Charge 2+ six months ago. I've been playing all kinds of music with it. I'm amazed with the quality of sound reproduction. I would describe it as "monitor" sound; meaning that the speaker plays anything - as it is: FLAC or MP3s with high quality are excellent, while bad recordings sound... bad... as they are. Excellent bass, mid and high frequency reproduction - although sometimes bass is "more" present, but never annoying or "booming". Extremely well built speaker, robust and "worry free" built, suitable for both indoor or outdoor use. Especially in outdoors it is amazing how well the sound is defined, sounds almost the same as indoors. Very solid feeling of touch and use; splash proof is an extra advantage too!.. It's a kind of surprise to many people listening to it. They've been left speechless from the sound quality, when they realized it was coming from such a small speaker!. Powerful, rich and accurate sound out of such a small "box"... IMO a very well balanced speaker, in terms of frequency response. I'm sure JBL did a great job in terms of built-in compressor / limiter equalization firmware, resulting in such a high quality sound reproduction. Excellent voices, pianos, drums, guitars... All this without any distortion, at any level. A really pleasant speaker to listen to music! All it needs is... well recorded music!... Very long lasting battery life. Most of the times it lasts for the 12 hours claimed by JBL. Charging my smartphone while "performing" music is a great feature too!... Highly recommended for all kinds of music lovers!...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bang for Your Buck Seriously, nothing else comes close in this price range or size. It blows me away every time that so much sound is coming from such a small package. I also own the JBL Extreme and this little speaker can hold it's own against it in a small room.

Does anyone else's jbl charge 2 plus only hear sound out of one side of the speaker or both sides.? (front and back) Just doesn't feel like it's as loud as it should be.

The speakers are on the front side with the JBL logo. Not on both sides.

my jbl charge 2+ battery weak. after charge until full just using only 30 minute battery low.

Not sure if your using the included jbl charger wire /base but if not.. make sure your charger base wall plug has output no less then 2.1amps for optimal charge. I'm no tech specialist just team jbLoud and proud owner of the Jbl Flip 3, jbL Extreme and a Charge2+ luv them all equally as they each serve best in certain settings n venues.

Can I use the JBL Charge 2+ permanent plugged in (i.e. "ac mode") or should I always use it on battery mode? Does ac mode damages the battery?

There is no harm in leaving the CHARGE 2+ plugged in at all times, and then disconnecting to use in a portable application, when needed. This won't ruin the battery life in anyway because when it is fully charged, it will run directly off the electricity or as you described, in AC mode.

jbl charge 2+ connected with my android and windows pc but no sound.. i have successfully paired the both devices. please advice me to solve this problem..

Try a reset. In power ON mode, press and hold the "Volume +" and "Phone" buttons at the same time for 2-3 seconds. The CHARGE 2+ will power off, and is now reset. Unpair/Forget the CHARGE 2+ from your Bluetooth source. Power the CHARGE 2+ back on, search Bluetooth devices from your Bluetooth source and connect to the CHARGE 2+. This will likely fix the issue.

The CHARGE 2+ can only play or pause the music using the phone button or answer call. The forward and backward functions can be done on the Bluetooth source.
