I need an amp that will allow me to turn up the volume without blowing the sub. Not the Club 5501.

Asked by: Jeepy
You can use the Subwoofer port of the JBL Club 4505 which drives 500Wrms at 2 ohms and should be equal to the Sub's power handling of 500W at 2 ohms as well. a JBL club 5501 be ideal for this sub

Asked by: Ollie stacey
Hi. Club 5501 will be very well suited to drive a 1220 B, but the word "ideal" is a bit dangerous. If you plan on pushing the 1220 B close to its limits, you need more power still, and the GTR-1001 will be our best bid. But that is only to ensure against lack of clean power. You will not get much more audio volume out of it, since doubling the power only gives you 3 dB extra SPL. I hope this helps.

We've had the GTBassPro before and just bought two of these to upgrade and I think we downgraded. we are using MB Quart FX1.500 and some reason this is not even close to the old one. We even double checked if the amp was putting out 500rms and it is.

What is the weight of this case and why isn't it in the specs? Its a quite basic spec.

Asked by: Noiz
Hi Thank you for reaching out to us I sadly can't say why this information has not been put in the specifications of the product, we will inform the responsible team to see if this can be added. The weight of the Stage 1220B is 21.5 Kg.

Dose this sub setup put out more bass than the jbl gt basspro 12?

Asked by: Uraniumtacos
Yes, The GT Basspro 12 puts out 150W RMS while the Stage 1220B has 500W RMS so the Stage Sub wins hands down in terms of power and bass.
