Club WS1000 Low-Profile Design - Image

Low-Profile Design

Because today’s compact cars offer less space, the JBL Club Subwoofers are designed to fit into small enclosures. They’re slim, sleek, stylish, and don’t sacrifice on sound.

Harman-Proprietary SSITM (Selectable Smart Impedance)

Unlike most dual-voice coil woofers, which provide either 1 or 4 ohms or 2 or 8 ohms, the JBL Club Subwoofers allow the listener to 2-ohm and 4-ohm at the flip of a switch, providing the two most often used impedances from a single woofer. This allows the system designer unparalleled flexibility in extracting every last watt from your amplifier without compromising stability and thermal safety margins.

Frequency Response As Low as to 27Hz

Your audio is filled with delicious sounds. Unfortunately, you’re not always hearing them all. With lows that dig down into the depths of 27Hz, you’ll hear the low-end frequencies you’ve been missing.

OEM-Level Reliability Testing

JBL tests every speaker design to the same rigid specifications as the automakers, subjecting them to extreme conditions that would break lesser speakers. We freeze them, bake them, shake them, blast them with ultraviolet light and drive them at full power for days to make sure your audio investment lasts for years.

Description

This boom is made for all shapes and sizes

JBL latest Club subwoofers offer incredible installation flexibility. Their low-profile design allows them to fit perfectly into even the most shallow of enclosures — great for today’s compact cars. Polypropylene woofer cones deliver exceptional bass response at frequencies as low as 27Hz. But what makes these subs really stand out is their Harman-proprietary SSITM (Selectable Smart Impedance), which allows the subwoofer to present the amplifier with either a 2 or 4 ohm load at the flip of a switch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great slim sub! Flexible with any amp 2 or 4 ohm I bought this on impulse and it's perfect in my truck in a small sealed box. Normal to loud sounds great but it does have it's power limits at higher volume.

Product Q&A

I’ve blown this sub twice and with my set up I have 200 watts rms running to it at 2 ohms in the proper .5 cubic foot box. Is there a reason why it continues to break? Like is there an over aching reason why it continues to blow?

What's the enclosure size recommendation?

Asked by: GoBigRed313
The Technical Data Sheet supplied in the box with this woofer indicates 0.5 cu. ft. for a sealed box, 1.5 cu. ft. for ported, and 0.75 cu. ft for bandpass enclosure types. This sheet also provides the Thiele Small Parameters for 2 and 4ohm. The data sheet does not appear to be accessible from this website and would be a nice addition.

Would I be able to run this beauty on a 100 watts? Thank you

Asked by: No1Spcl
You can run this sub on a 100 watt (RMS) which is half the power shown on the tech data sheet. It would be best to match you amp with the lease power at %75 power efficiency than to power them with full 100% if you not going to blast them all the time. That would breakdown the woofer and put wear and tear on the amplifier.

What are the T/S parameters? None listed. OK for IB?

Asked by: dcfis
The T/S parameters are included in the technical data sheet in the box with the woofer - JBL should post them to the website.

Sealed enclosure of .75cf for both the 12" and 10" ? What are specs for .5 CF sealed box.

Asked by: Norm D
You can go as low as .65 cuft without sacrificing any quality. If you go any smaller, down to .5 cuft, the speaker will begin to choke. We don’t recommend it.

Does Club WS1000 fit in a 2013 Lexus IS F replacing factory Sub? Will the Mark Levinson System (Amp) require replacing to support Club WS1000 "if' the physical fit works? If the ML Amp needs replacing, what JBL Amp be recommended for plug and play?
