SSI™ (Selectable Smart Impedance)

Most car audio system designs call for 2- or 4-ohm impedance. Series II subwoofers feature an exclusive dual impedance switch that lets you choose either load impedance option. Not available from any other manufacturer, SSI lets you reconfigure your system by simply flipping a switch.

Description

Strong on performance, big on flexibility

Car audio systems rely on powerful bass for great sound. System designers look for configuration flexibility. The Club Series deliver both. Designed to suit a range of applications, these 10- and 12-inch subwoofers produce signature JBL bass performance in sealed or vented enclosures. But the flexibility doesn’t end there. These subwoofers feature SSI™ (Selectable Smart Impedance), an exclusive impedance switch that lets you select the optimum impedance—2 or 4 ohms—for your system. So you get the powerful JBL bass you want, in the configuration you choose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little sub, great sound power Purchased one of these and installed in my Mazda hatch. It compliments the factory speakers for everyday listening yet provides a big punch when you crank it up. The low end is deep, clean and really powerful! I have this setup with the JBL club monoblock amplifier and is a great pair.

Product Q&A

Can I ran dual club1024 with monoblock 600w. rms @2ohm? The power are over or great for dual club1024?

Asked by: WattJ
Hi there, running 2 of our JBL Club 1024 in series wiring would result in 500W RMS and your 600W RMS mono block would be overpowering it. You can still use it but we advise not pushing the volume to the hilt. If you need more help, please contact us at support.apac@harman.com.

I’m not putting this in my car, I’m replacing a 10 inch woofer out of a boom box I have. Will it still sound good?

Asked by: Cole815
If the replacement woofer is identical or has the same specs at least and properly installed, then it should sound the same.

Is it possible to use the Club 1024 as a free air sub? I have a 97 LS 400 and I plan on mounting a 10” sub in the factory location. I’m trying to find one that will sound good without having to build a custom enclosure if possible

Asked by: Chance1234
Our JBL Club 1024 isn't recommended as a free air sub and will require an enclosure for it to sound good.
