The polypropylene woofer cone in the GT-12BP is engineered for superior rigidity, reliability and sensitivity. The result is increased low-frequency output and powerful, natural-sounding bass.
Slot vent
The GT-12BP’s enclosure is vented, which enables the subwoofer to deliver ultra-low bass at higher sound pressure levels than a sealed enclosure.
Acrylic window

Great sound with highs and lows
I bought 2 of these about a year ago and they are great in my 2000 Ford Expedition. I paired these with the JBL amp and they are exactly what I wanted when I was looking for in bass for my EDM.

Well bought this for my 2013 altima about 2months ago the sound quality was amazing with rock music or hip hop over all quality is very nice but I fried the sub needs more rms my pioneer amp was rated a little high at 350 rms but never expected to fill the box with smoke I would not get it again i like a little more bang for the buck so my opinion sound quality is at least 4 star but rms is lacking

I was debating on buying either the GT-12BP or the S2-1224SS which one produces a better lower bass.
The S2-1224SS has the better lower bass.

Would this sub fit in my 2013 nissan juke?
The JBL GT-12BP bandpass subwoofer enclosure can fit most trucks and compartments. It has a dimension of (L x D x H)18-3/4" x 16-1/4" x 15-3/8" (475mm x 412mm x 390mm). To accurately determine if it fits into your car, it is best to measure the space that you have available versus the dimension that the unit has.

I have a GT-12BP but I dont have the wiring for the interior lights. Is there any way to buy a replacement cord?
We don't have stocks left for the wiring, but you can still get these from 3rd party installers like Crutchfield, etc.

Will this fit into a 2017 Camaro? Trunk Opening is kinda narrow
If the trunk opening in your vehicle has more than the following dimension: 18-3/4" x 16-1/4" x 15-3/8" (475mm x 412mm x 390mm), then the JBL GT-12BP would fit in it.

Do I need to buy an amp for this enclosure? If so what amp would work with this enclosure?
Yes, an amplifier is required to power the GT-12BP. Connecting it directly to your head unit that may have a built-in amp may work but would not have enough power to maximize the potential of the GT-12BP. This subwoofer can handle up to 300W RMS of power @ 4-ohms so the GX-A3001 that can drive up to 200W of power would work great with these. Other mono amplifiers are available at http://www.jbl.com/car-amplifiers/ but most would drive more than 300W @ 4-ohms, which can still be used as long as you do not crank the volume to max all the time.
