The gtr-1001 has 2 sets of speaker outputs. I have a single 2ohm load I want to put 1000w rms into, will this amp work? If so which terminals do I connect the one positive and one negative? Thankyou

Asked by: Pengovx
GTR-1001 has a power Output 1000 Watts RMS at 2 Ohms and a single channel amplifier with two speaker terminals, wired in parallel, internally. Connecting to one set of terminals will get the exact results you desire.. So it will definitely work with the subwoofer that you are planning to install. You just need to plug in the subwoofer to one set of speaker outputs.

Hey Randy! Just ordered the gtr-1001 and 2 s3-1224's. I only have 1 gauge wiring and the amps recommended for 4! I need to know if 1 gauge will fit before I start running my wire. Thanks Randy!

Asked by: Brenden McKee
You can step down your 1 Gauge power wire to 4 Gauge using an adapter or running the 1 awg to a fused distribution block that outputs with multiple 4 awgs.

Is the GTR-1001 a class D subwoofer amp,or is it a D series subwoofer whatever it is the draws less from the battery & doesn't overheat? How many watts is the amp?

Asked by: btbtbt
The GTr-1001 is a class D Amplifier. Every GTR amplifier, including the full-range models, is a Class D. These high-efficiency, low-heat amps generate a lot of power without drawing much current, and feature small footprints. This amplifier puts out 700 watts of RMS power at 4 ohms, and 1000 watts of RMS power at 2 ohms.

I have 2 JBL S31224 subwoofers. How would I wire them to this amp in order to get 1000W at a 2 ohm load? Select the 4 ohm switch on the subs, then run each set of speaker wires back to the amp and connect both sets of speaker wire to the outside + and -?

Asked by: Scrappy
You will only need to connect the 2 subwoofers to their respective ports at the back of the amp with their switch in 4 ohms so that the Amp will provide 1000W at 2 ohms which will be divided to the 2 subs and make it 500W each. This information can be found on the Owner's Manual.

I purchased a GTR-1001 amp to push 2 JBL S3-1224 subs and 2 JBL Club 704 amps to drive my JBL GTO-939's, GTO-329's and 2 sets of GTO-609C's. The amps collectively are rated for 1800 watts RMS or 4600 watts peak. What size circuit breaker would I install?

Asked by: SteveRo
Hi , Each amp would require 60A in line fuse so if we add all 3 amps then you would need a 180A in line fuse.

Will this power enough for one 12w gti subwoofer. I wanna buy 2 of these for 2 12wgti canceling the back seat

Asked by: Ebooo
If you’re referring to a W12 GTI-MK, then the answer is yes. The GTR-1001 can drive up to 700W at 4-ohms and 1000W at 2-ohms and the W12 can handle 700W of power safely at 3 or 12-ohms.

can it give enough power for 4nos bass tubes ( jbl gtx1300t ) when connected together

Asked by: jayasankar jj
You cannot connect 4 GTX1300T subs in a standard parallel wiring configuration. This would cause a 1 ohm load, and the amp would not be able to handle it. You would have to do a customer series/parallel wiring configuration so that the amp would see a 4 ohm load. The only problem with that is that at 4 ohms, with four speakers connhttps://display-c4.prod.us-east-1.nexus.bazaarvoice.com/answers/7457/static/buttonPreview.gifected, each speaker would get only 175 watts.
