I have a JBL 15 inch w15 GTI wkii subwoofer and would like a thousand watt amplifier to push it in the description it says I can get this amp and a mono channel! Would this be the amp to choose or do you have something more suitable?

Asked by: jacester801
The W15GTI MKII has an RMS wattage rating of 800 watts. The CLUB 704 can put out 400 watts at 2 Ohms and 280 at 4 ohms, which is a perfect match. The general rule when selecting a sub is to make sure it has at least twice the per channel wattage rating of the amp. Peak ratings are marketing tools and should not be considered seriously when matching speaker and amplifiers.

Would this be good for 2 subwoofers??

Asked by: Hayden Escobedo
Yes. The CLUB 704, a 4-channel amplifier, can be used for two subwoofers by using it on a 2-channel bridged operation. You can connect one sub’s + lead to the Front L+ terminal, and the - lead to the Front R- terminal. Connect the other sub’s + lead to the Rear L+ terminal, and the - lead to the Rear R- terminal. This set-up will provide 145W RMS to each of your subwoofer. Please understand though, that when doing bridged-mode, it cannot handle anything below 4-ohms of impedance, meaning your subwoofer should be rated @ 4-ohms.

Can I adjust the treble and mids from the amplifier and not the head unit? I feel like the the treble is too high and even adjusting from the head unit controls the vocals are not as clear, it's almost as if the tweeters are too high

Asked by: earce21
Unfortunately only the Bass crossover can be adjusted on the Club 704.

I have a Club-704 Amplifier. I am looking to purchase (2) GTO-529 & (2) GTO-939s to be powered by the 704. Any setup recommendations or requirements for this less-than-desirable grouping? Thanks.

Although I am not new to aftermarket car audio, I am unfamiliar with outboard equalizers and crossovers. Since this amp has variable crossovers, what would be the proper set-up for one set of JBL club 3.5; 4; 4x6; and 5.25 at a 2ohm load?

Asked by: Bass In Ya Face
The HPF on the amp should be set somewhere between 80 and 150Hz, depending on the speaker that you'll be using. Please submit a case at https://www.jbl.com/support-contact.html for further assistance.

Good day. Prolly going with your Club 6500c(front)/6500(rear) speakers and am a current JBL speaker LOVER. Considering your Club 704 amp AND a Cerwin Vega B54. Leaning on the Cerwin Vega because of its much better signal to noise ratio. Thoughts?

Asked by: Ihave Abigone
The B54 has two Signal-To-Noise Ratio specs. If you compare the 1w@4 ohms ratings, both amps are identical with a rating of 85dB.
