New high-performance JBL Club amplifiers deliver world-class JBL power from a compact chassis built to fit in more vehicles, even when space is tight. Available in 4-channel, 5-channel, and mono models, Club amps feature variable crossovers and bass boost for precise control and tuning, plus high and low-level inputs that let them integrate with most car stereos. They’re also compatible with several vehicle technologies, including many advanced driver assistance systems, and the Harman HALOsonic system, a suite of acoustic solutions that can simulate engine sounds for a better driving experience in hybrids and electric cars, cancel road noise for better-sounding music, and more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great class d amp I am loving how small and powerfully this amp is it's class d so it draws very little power but it's powerfully enough to push s3-1224 to its full potential which is plenty bass

I have 2 svc kicker 10 in 4 ohm subs how should I wire them

Asked by: Bradleyc
I think the best way is connect them in parallel ...with this setup you get 2 Ohms in your system.. and this amplifier gives 550 Watts RMS @2ohms

I have the 5501 connected properly, checked all the lines. However it turns on without the "remote" line connected. I want to use the remote line to turn it on and off, but it is always on as long as the head unit is on without remote connected

Asked by: ScooterPSK
This is normal. If you connected the CLUB 5501 to your head unit using high-level input signals, this will automatically turn the amplifier off and on in respect to the head unit turning on. When RCA line-level and remote line is not available on a head unit, you can use a high-level output from the head unit.

I have club704 amp 2 pair gto609c also got the s3 1224 sub is this amp enough to drive the s3 1224 at full potential.

Asked by: Eboooo
The club 704 would not be able to drive the S3 1224 to it's full potential since the wattage it drives is too low for the S31224. While the Club 5501 can definitely drive the S3 1224 to it's full potential due to it being able to drive 370W at 4ohms to the Sub which can handle 500W at 4 ohms.

What is the best subwoofer to use with this amp??

Asked by: Lexiisdope
The JBL Club 5501 amplifier's power rating is 370 watts RMS at 4 ohms, or 550 watts RMS at 2 ohms. Any one of our subs can handle this wattage, like the S3-1224 or S3-1024, will work great.

How would i hook up a 12 inch jbl mkii? It says that they can be ran at 3 and 12ohms.

Asked by: HeyTony95
Yes it can run at 12-ohms. You just need to connect the voice coils in series and it should be good to go. Although the CLUB 5501 may not be powerful enough to drive the speaker’s full potential.

Hi would I be able to run two S2-1024 subs with this amplifier? Would running them in parallel with both set at 4ohms and therefore the amp at 2ohms be ok?

Asked by: James Foster
Hello! Thank you for your message. Indeed, you can connect the two S2-1024 subwoofers with the Club 5501 amplifier. However, we recommend you set the switch from the Subwoofers at 4 ohms. If you require further assistance, please contact us at customer.support@harman.com.
