Is it safe to keep the Pulse 3 charging at all times while displaying its light show?
Yes, it is completely safe to leave the PULSE 3 connected to the power whether it is in use or not. Take note that using the PULSE 3 while plugged in will prolong the charging time.

There is no remote control for the JBL Pulse 3 to turn off. But you are correct about the JBL Pulse 3 automatically turning off after not receiving any audio signal for 5-10 minutes.

please tell, what is the independence (ohm) in Pulse 3, i would like to conect it like an aditional center coeaker.
JBL Pulse 3 is a portable speaker. An ohms rating isn't necessary as it's able to function as a stand-alone unit wherein all you have to do is to plug or connect to the source. Can the Pulse 3 (light show) sit on its side instead of vertical. I use on my paddle board often and have the Charge 2 (has base bottom stand) which sits on its side. If it can I will buy it since I paddle board at night and would be way cool.
The aesthetics of the Pulse 3 is not like the Charge 3 - it doesn't have the bottom flat side. If used horizontally, it would only result to rolling over your paddle board.

Your actual cell phone emits more radiation than bluetooth. You're safe.

Can the new Pulse 3 be paired with another Pulse 3 or any other JBL Bluetooth speaker to play in stereo, or is it only capable of playing in mono?
Yes. Stereo mode will only work if both speakers are the same model using the JBL Connect app. Party mode is the only available option when two different models are paired.

Watching and reading a few reviews of this product and some older articles mentioned that you couldn't sync the light display to go along with the music. Is that the case currently? Thanks
The lights do work with the music and sync up nicely. It is a little off but not noticeable. Are you going to be watching the speaker the entire time? lights aren't perfectly in sync sometimes but nothing it ever perfect or spot on.

Can it be set to stay on when plugged in (disable the auto-off) so that I can connect it to a smart speaker (Alexa or Google Home) and not need to turn it on every time?
Because of EuP-regulations, the unit must enter Standby after 10 minutes to save power, when no sound is detected. Your JBL Pulse 3 has a fixed threshold for this level.
The power saving option for all portable speakers is mandatory, and can't be avoided. You can find all the regulations in the (ErP) 2009/125/EC Directive for Energy-Related Products .

The connect option between different jbl devices works with jbl pulse 3 and jbl pulse 2 without issues?
Our JBL Pulse 3 can wirelessly link with JBL Connect+ compatible speakers only. Currently our Flip 4, Pulse 3, Charge 3 (after a firmware upgrade) Xtreme 2, and Boombox have the Connect+.

Yes it can, bluetooth is backwards compatible so it can still detect the JBL Pulse 3 and use it to play music.

There can be traces of usage, but there should not be any damage to them. Of course, for our refurbished products we have the same warranty and 30 days return right, so if you feel there's something wrong with the Pulse 3, just give us a call and we'll replace it for you at no extra charge

Every time I get a notification on my phone, the Pulse pauses and never starts again. This only happens with the Pulse, when I have my phone connected to my car on Bluetooth, it's fine.
Please try to do a factory reset. Power on the JBL Pulse 3 and for 5 seconds, press and hold the "Volume +" and "Play" buttons .the JBL Pulse 3 will power off, and is now reset.If this does not work,Please submit a case request at https://www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service Team will be more than happy to assist you.

I recently purchased the Pulse 3, two days ago at Meijer. Came home and charged it but it won’t charge. What can I do to it without having to buy a new battery.

Hi there, the latest firmware is 2.5.0 for the Pulse 3. You can update the firmware by installing the JBL Connect app on your phone and it'll prompt you if your JBL Pulse 3 requires an update.

I am not able connect my JBL Pulse 3 speaker to laptop (Windows 7 Enterprise). After connection, it looks for drivers from Windows update but doesn't found anything. I tried to install Microsoft MTP device enumerator manually but still they don't work.
This is because most Windows do not support A2DP stereo audio streaming via Bluetooth, the standard for music-listening through Bluetooth.
The system will support keyboards, mice, printers etc. via Bluetooth, but not audio.
It is necessary to download the proper drivers, either from the computer manufacturer, the software manufacturer or the manufacturer of the Bluetooth chip in the computer.
Help to do this must be sought with the companies that supply one or more of these computer features.

Can JBL Connect PLUS pair with JBL Connect?
At the moment, this is not possible. We are currently testing the CHARGE 3, and can not yet say if Connect+ will work on it. The hardware used in these products is different from that in the newer products, which come with Connect+ standard. If the results ( connectivity issues, product issues, quality issues ) are not in line with the high standard that we set for our products, we may not be releasing such an update to the Charge 3. If an update however will be possible, this update will be released through our JBL Connect mobile app, available on iOS and Android devices, and you will get a notification from within the app, telling you an update is available.

We don't have the exact measurements on how loud it is but I am sure that the JBL Pulse 3 is loud enough to be heard on a crowded train station.

Does it support apt-x codec?
The JBL Pulse 3 supports the most widely accepted codec, SBC. Unfortunately, it doesn't support APTX technology.

When plugged into wall for power (charging), is there still a 10 minute inactivity power off like when running on battery? I’m looking to Bluetooth to phone and use as an alarm clock but inactivity timer is an issue.
JBL Pulse 3 has a built-in battery. All of our portable products have the standby feature, which makes the units turn off after 10-15 minutes of inactivity. This was made so the speakers can save battery when it's not being used.

I'm going to be purchasing this but I have a JBL Xtreme, and I want to make sure that they can pair together with the JBL Connect feature? Will there be any flaws for the Xtreme being older or will it work okay?
Currently only the Flip 4 can wirelessly connect to the Pulse 3 via JBL Connect Plus technology. Unfortunately the JBL Xtreme will not support this feature.

Can I connect two JBL Pulse 3 to one Desktop gaming PC???
Hi! You can only connect one JBL Pulse 3 via Bluetooth, but you can utilize the Connect+ feature to connect the second Pulse 3. But we do not recommend using the Pulse 3 for audio playback while gaming, as it is mainly designed for audio only.
