JBL Charge 3 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 1301.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Average John Review Bought this two weeks ago after reading a number of favourable reviews. Some of these reviews were really quite extensive made by people that obviously knew what they were talking about. All I can say so far as an armchair critic is that the speaker appears to be really well made with simple to use intuative controls, Bluetooth connectivity is simple and easily achieved. The sound quality for my general sort of use listening to the radio and background music volume levels is very good. I havent had it cranked right up like you might want to if you were having a party but them I wouldnt expect to achieve the same quality as a pair of 120 Watt stereo speakers. I would reccomend to anyone looking for a speaker at around the £100.00 price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome sound , and power in such a small space Bought this as a gift for my wife and she loves it, the sound quality and power are truly amazing. I did not think it was possible to get that many musicians in such a small place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still Going Strong I have had my Charge 3 since they first came out and it serves, along with my iphone, as my entertainment while I am on the Lanai sitting or grilling. Thought I would leave a few positive words while I was on the site shopping for other stuff. Like others, my only beef is with those annoying on and off sounds. Not sure why they added that “feature”.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound and one button pairing great sound and volume with real bass and 1 button to pair 2 speakers is great. Would recommend an equalizer app to tweak bass and treble to your desire. Its a tad heavy on the bass for my taste but easily adjusted with a free app like Bass EQ. I know the trend is more bass and this really delivers unlike any other BT speaker (and a tad in Excess) unless you want to go beast mode with JBL Extreme or a Marshall Kilburn.

Is there any way to turn off the ON, OFF and Connected jingles, or at least tone them down like 80%? They are massively loud and completely useless. The lights on the device provide the same information, but without intrusive noise. The app should do it!

Yes with the new software update available on google play and called "JBL connect"

The FAQ on the Charge 3 site references a firmware update available as if 27/9/2017 that upgrades the charge 3 from connect to connect+. I do not see the firmware update in the JBL Connect app. When will it be available?

Asked by: Link
Check the FAQ on Specs & Support it says the upgrade will be available on October 15, 2017.
