JBL Charge 4 is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well balanced sound I bought the charge 4 along with a charge 3 on black Friday to see for myself which one sounded better. If the charge 3 sounded better, like some claim, I didn't want to pass up the deal for $89. I'm sending back the charge 3 and keeping the charge 4. Side by side the charge 4 has more bass and a cleaner more lifelike sound. I compared many songs and types of music, hands down the charge 4 wins. The charge three had almost no bass compared to the charge 4 and the charge 3 has too much sound in the mid high area of frequency range, not well balanced. I wanted the charge 3 to sound close to what the charge 4 did that way I would keep it, at such a great deal, and have two speakers to play together with the JBL connect plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything is great jbl speakers are awesome! My jbl speaker works great and im loving it it does everything it is designed to do and that is to produce high quality clear level bass produced sound im loving loving my charge 4 great battery timing as well last 20 hours its amazing and i noticed that some people on here had some complaints but those guys need to understand that jbl always makes great speakers and that usually the readon why there speaker doesnt work as it should is because of how it gets handled when shipped to stores and houses and when jbl speakers get shipped to stores you never know how the product has been handled till it has been sold so i seriously doubt jbl makes and sells junky speakers jbl always sell great speakers i can go on all day about this subject but all im saying is think about all of what could be the reason the speaker is not working before you make a negative remark about the speaker because im pretty sure the JBL speakers dont come from the jbl manufacturer all messed up.

Is there any way to stop that sound it makes when we switch it on? Think in a customer's point of view, you are in the middle of the class and you pass it to your friend then he accidently pressed the power button?? Then boom that loud sound...

Asked by: christie
Use the JBL app there is an option to have that sound on or off.

Can you hear the sound from the charge 4 to the right because of the single driver ?

Asked by: edre
Hi Eddis, I'm not sure if I understand your question completely. As it's a single driver speaker, it basically won't play stereo mode on it's own. But, when pairing it with another Charge 4, you can have them play in Stereo Mode, with a left and a right channel. I have a jbl pulse 3. Should I upgrade to the charge 4???

Asked by: gamingdude76
I don't think you should. it all depends what you need the speaker for. The pulse 3 is more of a home speaker which looks better because of the lights. The charge 4 is all about battery and sound quality so it is your choice
