Amazing sound! Suggestion to make it even better!
I have this device and it works great. Easy pairing. Except that I have multiple "playing devices" (e.i. FireTV, iPhone, Android, etc.) at home I use this with, sometimes it becomes a bit tedious to have to switch the pairing with each device.
I suggest either design a Bluetooth controller box, to where all "playing devices" connect to this controller box, then the controller box only allows 1 "playing device" to play through the JBL Flip sound box.
Additionally, it would be nice to have a small remote designed (similar to the one you folks designed for the BoostTV) to control the volumen, turn on/off the JBL Flip sound box and controller. Believe me this 2 new inventions would rock the world! ;)

I was shocked when I heard the sound of this medium sized bluetooth speaker, the sound is incredible and I am sure you can compre it to a big sized speaker 100% I would recommend this allot

Unbeatable value. Unmatched bang for buck!
I know there are better sounding or more powerful BT speakers out there but you wont find such a great unit for this price. It sounds incredible. Surprisingly loud, and nice adequate punchy bass from the passive end membranes and pairing could not be easier.
Seriously easiest pairing process i have ever seen. Press B once, light changes to flashing blue and echoing tone clearly tells user the device is discoverable.
Hangs on to connection from last time and automatically connects SUPER FAST
Battery life is EPIC
I have never run mine out of battery - this includes stints of use of more than 5 hours solid. Not even close to flat
Charges super fast.
Ticks all the boxes - the only limitation would be a large group or party - this is not going to light up a large space with full sound - but then again it wasnt designed to.
That said it will probably surprise you as at full power it is LOUD!

Incredible sound
I don't know how JBL managed to make a small speaker like this with such great sound quality, crisp sound with great bass!
I use it every day and I'm using it as I'm writing this review. Feels like a very high
quality product and will resist rain better than some coats do, very happy.

What's the difference between this one and the flip 4 ?
Main difference is that Flip Essential does not support JBL Connect+ function.
Also, Fip Essential uses USB-C charging port where as Flip 4 is using Micro USB.

My flip essential has been on charge for over 3.5 hours and the flashing white light is still on the first light closest to the charging port. Is it actually charging?

Can I use this in cold weather? I would like to put it in a backpack to play music whilst I ski, so I was wondering if it could withstand cold temperatures.

Please keep in mind that cold temperatures may temporarily decrease the battery life of the speaker.
