JBL Free is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product. Battery last good amount, nothing negative to say yet. Wear them at work for couple hours a day and battery lasts all week. Comfortable to wear. Sound is very good. Impressed with how far the blue tooth reaches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A new way to hear music If you are looking to buy these earbuds just for the convenience of not having to deal with wires, you are buying them for the wrong reason. With these headphones you can clearly hear all the different parts in each song in a way you can't with any other typical headphones I've used, including expensive wireless over the ear bluetooth headphones. I don't if this is because both the left and the right speaker are powered separately, but the clarity and distinctness of sound is what makes these earbuds shine. The occasional glitchiness of Bluetooth 4.2 can be annoying at times, but other than that I have no complaints. These are my favorite headphones right now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good I just bought mine and I like them alot. No bluetooth 5.0, but that is ok. I just adjusted my EQ on my phone and had my sounds like I want them. People need to understand bluetooth volume is only going to so high, so love it or leave. I am impressed JBL keep up the good work.

I received a pair of these and was excited to try them out. I was unable to get any real volume. Had my phone at full volume at phones were playing, at best, at only a moderate level. Is there a volume control I'm not aware of?

Asked by: MDL17
I had the same issue when I first tried them. I put in the small-sized tips for my ear, and that got rid of the space that made the sound low in my ear. Also the fit was way more snug.

There's no indication of any app associated with these earbuds. You just connect through the blue tooth of your device and that's it.

“switching to mono during phone calls” does that mean only one earbud is functioning...if so can you disable this function and use both earbuds?

Asked by: slm3
Despite what Ren(customer service said) said those are exactly my thoughts. My experience and the experience of another person in the reviews is that only the right ear bud transmits sound during phone calls.

So the manual states that to avoid case battery issues (assuming to hold its charge) to turn off the case, but it seems as if there is not a power switch on the case. So I'm wondering... what is the routine for charging both headphone and case?

Asked by: jkol
Just take your earbuds out of the case and it will stop releasing power. Its lights will go off as soon as you stop charging it. It's that simple.
