Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connection has been fixED! JBL has fixed the connection issue so make sure you ask for JBL Free X, I don't know why they haven't change it on this page yet. but they sound great and people can hear you Cleary when speaking. still only out of one hear which is the right side but way better than the first frees!!!! Go to the Harman store located on 54 and Madison ave in New York, they have the new headphones there!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works and sounds amazing! So far so good, they work as advertised, and sound amazing. Only drawback is that they aren't very loud, but this technology is still fairly new and I'm sure the volume will be able to increase with newer generation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound Quality I purchase my JBL Free from Best Buy in Michigan and I must say that with me being a Dee-Jay I am very strict on sound quality. These ear buds exceed my expectations. They fit comfortably in my ear, stereo sound is great, and I love being able to charge them in the handy carrying case. Keep up the good work JBL. I am very tempted to buy a second pair to have as a spare. Having a discount on them would seal the deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OUTSTANDING!!!! No complaints about this product at all. I do see some older reviews that weren’t so hot, so maybe they improved upon the product by the time I’d actually received them. Super easy to pair these, fantastic sound and battery life.

I have frequent lost of sound in left earphone when I wear light hat or cover it with my hand. Right earphone works fine.

I am on my second set of JBL Free. The first set was returned for a defect. But both sets of JBL Free lost connection to the left ear bud frequently. This is not just unfortunate, but impacts listening enjoyment tremendously. Hope JBL FIXES this problem soon. I would strongly suggest a recall for this persistent issue.

I received a pair of these and was excited to try them out. I was unable to get any real volume. Had my phone at full volume at phones were playing, at best, at only a moderate level. Is there a volume control I'm not aware of?

Asked by: MDL17
I had the same issue when I first tried them. I put in the small-sized tips for my ear, and that got rid of the space that made the sound low in my ear. Also the fit was way more snug.

There's no indication of any app associated with these earbuds. You just connect through the blue tooth of your device and that's it.

“switching to mono during phone calls” does that mean only one earbud is functioning...if so can you disable this function and use both earbuds?

Asked by: slm3
Despite what Ren(customer service said) said those are exactly my thoughts. My experience and the experience of another person in the reviews is that only the right ear bud transmits sound during phone calls.

So the manual states that to avoid case battery issues (assuming to hold its charge) to turn off the case, but it seems as if there is not a power switch on the case. So I'm wondering... what is the routine for charging both headphone and case?

Asked by: jkol
Just take your earbuds out of the case and it will stop releasing power. Its lights will go off as soon as you stop charging it. It's that simple.
