Very glad I made purchase. The ability to remove the portable, Bluetooth connected component is a great feature. Deep rich sound has always been a JBL characteristic & this model does not disappoint.

Good sound but not a great design.
I bought this product on a deal and was pleased with the sound and affordability.
Unfortunately, the design is flawed. The removable speaker can damage the pins that it sets up to when placed in the larger speaker. If this is to be a stationary piece and one that is not messed with it will be a great addition. Just know that if you are to travel with this unit removed the two speakers and package accordingly.

Doesn't function as expected
This speaker worked well while physically attached to the tv sound system and decently as the detached bluetooth speaker attached to an iphone, however would not play the tv sound via bluetooth to the removable disc. In the product description and in the "quick start guide" it was implied to function this way. This is the reason for my purchase and it will be returned.

Refurbished item ship to me damage. Poor quality
I knew I was a buying a refurbished item but didn't know JBL would let there employees re ship junk and put a recertification sticker like it pass through inspection. Smh. Then all I get is my money back and a 20% discount on more junk. Very disappointed and feel sorry for new customers thinking the are getting JBL quality speakers.

This is such a great speaker I had this one over 6 years now it's starting to give up on me but that's the longest I ever saw a speaker be alive so just a great job to the maker of this product.

Hi. I love this speaker and use it at least 3/x week; however, out of nowhere, the dock/subwoofer stopped working and the speaker itself is super weak-sounding/performing. I've only been using it for about 3 months. Any suggestions on how to reboot?
We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. I apologized for the inconvenience caused by this issue. Try resetting the unit by following this steps:
While in ON mode, press “VOL UP” and “VOL DOWN” simultaneously for 10 seconds.

It seems the Voyager thinks it is connected via Bluetooth to something when it's not. Is there a way to maybe reset it?
Yes. Please follow these instructions to perform a Factory reset: (sets volume to default, clears Bluetooth pairing list etc). While in ON mode, press “VOL_UP” and “VOL_DOWN” simultaneously for 10 seconds.

when is the outside circle of the speaker operational. or is that just for looks?
The JBL VOYAGER’s outside circle serves as the subwoofer/bass speaker for the overall system while the inner circle is a detachable/portable speaker.
