Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of both worlds I am an audio fanatic. I refused ti listen t0 small, wimpy bluetooth speakers for convenience. I would fire up the separates, select 2nd zone/bluetooth for my kitchen and then get my music.NO Compromise. I bought this for my son,who is not as fussy.Well I really started enjoying the sound and the ease of use! So much for the separates. I ,for the first time I do not feel i am compromising t all. The sound is full and room filling, and loud enough for me,something most bluetooth speakers are unable to do. Guns & Roses,Led Zep, Eagles all sound great. I even like popping out the disc to work on my bike. I can not compare the sound to the higher end Bose,B&W and others that seem to get great reviews, but I have no regrets at all, Oh I forgot I bought this for my son, OOPS. He actually uses it as much as me in the kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Balanced Sound I bought this about 3 months ago and I love it. Its not big on base but it has a smooth and balanced sound. Blue tooth is excellent and the center speakers sound good without the sub unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just wow! When I bought this speaker, I really did not expect it to produce such a warm room filling sound. The connection via bluetooth works really well. Picking the wireless part of the speaker out of the dock is really easy and the whole speaker has a premium feel! It is so worth the money because you literally have two speakers in one! It looks well no matter where in the house I put it. The battery life is more than enough for me, I have never managed to empty it in the past few months.

Product Q&A

The speaker connects via bluetooth to my laptop but then it completely messes up my wifi connection. If i then disconnect the bluetooth connection to the JBL speaker Wifi gets restored again. how can i resolve this?

Asked by: dutchclimber
What you stated is correct. This is because the VOYAGER’s Bluetooth connection causes wireless interference with your laptop’s WiFi connection. It emits Bluetooth signals strong enough to upset the operation of another wireless device nearby. Try placing your VOYAGER farther from your Laptop or router. Or if you are savvy enough, configuring your router’s Wi-Fi channel will do.

I am considering buying. A jbl voyager but I would like to know if it syncs with my pulse 2? Or should I just purchase a another pulse 2 or extreme?

Asked by: Joe K
The VOYAGER does not have the Connect feature like the PULSE 2. You can only connect/synchronize 2 speakers if both of the speakers have the Connect feature. Currently, we offer the following speakers with the Connect feature... FLIP 3 PULSE 2 XTREME CHARGE 3

Hi there, I just received my order for two speakers. They sound pretty good. Is there a way to chain them together so I can sound from both units at the same time?

Asked by: hechogood
Hi, The Voyager cannot be paired together since the disc in the middle and the woofer are the only ones that can be connected wirelessly.

Hi is there a way to keep these speakers on all the time? I have them connected via power, rarely take out the middle disk.. but i like them a lot so I'm using them as a computer speaker via the line in.. I see it shuts off i guess to conserve power..

Asked by: wenyce
The VOYAGER has power saving features. If the speaker does not detect an audio signal it will turn off. So, if you have the volume on the VOYAGER cranked up, and the volume on your computer, it is very possible that the VOYAGER is not seeing enough of an audio signal to know to stay on. Please try turning the volume on the VOYAGER down a bit, and then crank up the volume on your computer to get to the level you desire. This will send a signal to the VOYAGER and it should stay on without any issues.

If I intend to connect this to a TV, how big a room in sq feet can the voyager 2.1 support? My other option is a regular 5.1 ch system, except this is much smaller and way cooler looking.

Asked by: Laksh
This is a very good question, though we don't have the exact measurement on how audible this speaker would be on a specific room size in square feet. Speakers combined power would be 22W, subwoofer has 15W and portable speaker has 7W in DC mode, 5W in batter mode. Should be audible enough for a small or medium size room. But do not expect it to give you a full on surround sound experience.

Can you charge the disc separately? Like If I leave for the weekend and want to take it with me or is the only way to charge when connected to the base?

Asked by: bdj111
Yes, you certainly can. The disc has a micro usb connection so you can charge it from any micro usb charger.
