25 – 150 watts suggested amplifier power range

JBL engineers have designed the JBL Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker to deliver robust sound from a compatible AVR (audio/video receiver) or 25- to 150-watt power amplifier, whether you are using the Studio 570 as a stand-alone unit or as part of a surround-sound system.

Dual 5-1/4" (130mm) ribbed PolyPlas woofer cones

Powerful bass affects more than just your ears. It resonates through your entire body, creating a soundscape that you can feel as well as hear. The JBL Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker delivers accurate low-frequency sounds from a pair of 5-1/4-inch (130-millimeter) ribbed PolyPlas woofers. The ribs improve strength, while reducing distortion. The result is rich, powerful, articulate bass.

Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFG) magnet assembly

Thanks to a heavy-duty magnet Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFG) assembly, the JBL Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker’s pair of low-frequency woofers delivers highly focused bass. The result is pristine, articulate sound.

1" (25mm) high-frequency compression driver

The JBL Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker’s high-frequency compression driver lowers distortion and provides a wider dynamic range than is possible from conventional high-frequency and midrange drivers. The tweeter comprises a one-piece Teonex® diaphragm/surround assembly fitted with a 1-inch (25-millimeter) voice coil that can deliver enhanced vocal articulation.

Glass-filled ABS Bi-Radial high-frequency horn

Horn-shaped loudspeaker designs optimize high-frequency output by directing the sound to the listener with pinpoint accuracy, thereby eliminating reverberations, sound reflections off walls, and other artifacts. The Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker features a glass-filled ABS Bi-Radial high-frequency horn that delivers professional-level sound to your home.

Low-loss, two-way crossover network

The Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker’s low-loss, two-way crossover network ensures a clean transition for sound coming from individual low- and high-frequency drivers, thereby reducing distortion while improving clarity.

Bi-wire capability

The Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker will work with multiple power amplifiers or connection setups – or both – for single-wire or bi-wire operation. The result is enhanced versatility in the way you can use the Studio 570 speaker.

Sturdy 3/4" (19mm) MDF enclosure

The Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker’s cabinet is built with the same attention-to-sound-perfection as every other component. Rigid, heavily braced materials prevent unwanted resonance, while non-parallel surfaces eliminate sound interference.

Exclusive design

The same attention to detail that went into the Studio 570 floorstanding loudspeaker’s technical design was paid to creating a powerful, sophisticated look that will fit within even the most discerning householder’s décor. The Studio 570 is available in a black or cherry finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as it gets! I had the studio 530's before, but did not really set them up properly. This time, I was prepared. I was able to purchase two 8" stands before they arrived. I wanted to use them in my bedroom, and this height was perfect. Also, I did not understand the purpose of the top horn cover. This time, I did everything properly, and was definitely rewarded with a great sound experience. As some reviewers have said, the speakers just disappear, and you just get a wall of music. You really can't go wrong with these for music and movies. No sub needed in the bedroom. These are driven by a Marantz MM7025 amp. The stands/platforms were under $7.00 each.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rock speakers I've had these for two months, just breaking them in. They are fantastic. Tight bass, open midrange, very clear tweeter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just graduated college and got an apartment with my gf. Used to having my roommate's speakers to play music on and watch movies. I'd never set up a home audio system before. JBL made my choice easy. This speaker went on sale for $200 with free shipping (67% off) for their October sale. That's an absurdly good deal. The Studio 570 is advertised as the kind of speaker you should get two of and put one on either side of your TV. Sure, you could do that. But honestly, it's plenty loud enough to operate on its own. I'm not using this to play video games - I don't really need directional stereo audio on both sides. I just need crisp highs that don't sound harsh, accurate mids and some deep, powerful bass. This thing checks all the boxes. I'm feeding it 100 watts from a little class D amp and it's incredibly loud at even half-volume on my amp. I don't know why anyone would want to put it any louder than that unless the audio file you're playing is inherently very quiet. It doesn't distort at all at that volume. As far as I can tell this thing packs the same 1 inch driver as the $1000 Studio 590s, and its tremendous. The two 5.5 inch subs are the perfect complement to it. I'll be honest, they weren't really doing it for me at first, but after turning up the bass knob on my amp they're perfect. It's advertised as 45Hz+ but it surprised me with how deep the bass it produces sounds. If you're a diehard basshead, you MIGHT still want to pair this thing with a big 12+ inch sub (maybe a Klipsch or something that can get closer to 20 Hz) but honestly, this is more than enough for me. I've fed it EDM / Future Bass, trap bangers, classic rock. It exceeded my expectations for every genre. I could see myself keeping this speaker/amp combo as my entire audio setup for decades. $600 is a reasonable price for what this can deliver. $200 is a STEAL. My only conplaint is it arrived with a slight scuff on the wooden frame about halfway up the left side of the exterior, but it's minor and subtle. It still looks sleek and the sound quality more than makes up for it. I will say, if you want a speaker for a desk, table or bookshelf this is not it. It's not excessively wobbly but it's almost 3 feet tall and it seems a little topheavy so if you have little kids or dogs running around that could be a concern.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I prefer over Elac Uni fi 52 2.0 I bought these on sale ($399 pair) after trying over a dozen different speakers. These were over all the best as long as you match with the right equipment. I don't know if you can do better for the money unless you are doing DIY speakers. Bass... impressive for the size Mids... are very coherent and non fatiguing. If I'm going to nit pick.. their is frequency that sticks out just a bit in the upper mids that isn't favorable. I use am able to resolve it with a 15 band eq or using a warmer sounding pre. Highs... the highs are very coherent. Very clear and despite being horn designed they aren't fatiguing. For $1k - I would continue to look For under $500 - good luck buying a production speaker that sounds better. I'm a fan!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Baby floor-standers Outstanding baby floor standers. I’ve always been a jbl fan and now own these 570s, the 530s, the 520c, and the arena 130s with various crown xls amps. The 570s are fun speakers with just enough bump and detailed, non-fatiguing highs. The dual 5.25”drivers have heavy motor structures mounted in well built cabinets that have a polarizing waterfall- Batman looking style. I enjoy the look, especially the sound and plan on owning these a long time. When on sale, just get them.

Product Q&A

Have the Studio 570 been discontinued?  I am heavily considering pairing these as my surround sound speakers.  I currently have the 530 as surrounds, would this be overkill?  My front channels are covered by two 590s and a 520c.

what's the best JBL subwoofer to pair with these?

Asked by: billymac
The STUDIO 570 speakers have an RMS wattage rating of 150 watts. Assuming your receiver puts out 150 RMS per channel, the STUDIO SUB 260P is a perfect match. The general rule when selecting a sub is to make sure it has at least twice the per channel wattage rating of the receiver. Peak ratings are marketing tools and should not be considered seriously when matching speaker and amplifiers.

Would the Studio 570s, 530s, and 520C be compatible with a Sony STRK-670P AV Receiver?

Asked by: Nino
Thanks for reaching out. Our JBL Studio 530 series speakers can be connected to a 2 channel or a 9 channel receiver amplifier as long as its power output is within the power handling capabilities of the speaker per channel. Subjecting the speaker to a power output higher than what is recommended may damage the speaker in the long run.

Can i use a 155watt RMS receiver with these speakers?

Asked by: Jimmy D
Our JBL Studio 570 has a recommended amplifier power of up to 150 watts. We recommend using a receiver with a slightly lower wattage as it might cause internal damge to the speaker.
