Try and perform a reset on the speaker by following this step: Power ON CHARGE 2, then press and hold the "Volume+" and the "Phone" buttons at the same time. When the CHARGE 2 switches off after a few seconds, sounding the OFF prompt, it has been reset. If the issue still persists and your speaker is still under warranty, please do submit an email case to www.jbl.com/contactus and our customer support team would be able to assist on the warranty of your speaker.

why no sound? Owned it 2 months and have used it most days. Is fully charged and 3.5mm plugged into my mp3 player

Asked by: cory
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Please verify the connections are secure. Make sure there is no visible damage to the cable connector and connections. Verify the source device (mp3 player) audio settings and volume control are configured properly. The Charge 2 battery volume level led should have at least one illuminated. Press the volume + symbol a few times on the Charge 2 to insure level is above minimum. If issue unresolved test with other source devices (phone, tablet, etc) and cable. If issue persists please contact our support center at 1-800-336-4525 for further assistance. Best Regards.

How do I release the wall charger plugs? They are current locked in position, folded into the power adaptor and I don't see a button or switch to allow them to drop into place. Thanks.

Asked by: TJ Hanson
I had a TERRIBLE time getting the metal prongs out from the plastic casing!  I finally was able to pry them out with a tool, but I was afraid I was going to break the unit.  It required a lot of pressure to turn them out at 45 degrees.  Should not be so hard!

Does this Bluetooth Speaker allow me to play songs from a desktop computer via Bluetooth?

Asked by: ntalloju
You can use the speaker with a computer/laptop as long as the computer has the capability to stream audio wirelessly. The speaker can accept audio signals from Bluetooth enabled devices if the device is capable of streaming that audio signal which the speaker needs. Your computer/laptop should be capable of streaming audio via Bluetooth(A2DP Protocol). If your computer does not have that feature, you will still be able to connect the speakers but no audio will be heard. Make sure that the Bluetooth drivers of your computer are up to date for the speakers to work with your computer/laptop.

I'm trying to connect my charge 2 to a bluetooth transmitter hooked up to my television to use as a speaker. How do I get it to connect and play sound

Asked by: fsusmith
If your Bluetooth transmitter has a user interface from which you can choose a Bluetooth device that it will connect to, then the speaker would work. If the transmitter doesn't have that interface, then the speaker would be unable to connect to that transmitter. Our portable speakers need that interface to make sure that the speaker is properly connected to the device that it is trying to pair with.
