Highlights

JBL® engineers believe that you should never have to sacrifice performance for portability. Introducing the JBL Micro II loudspeaker. The JBL Micro II is the first small, ultra-portable speaker featuring a Li-ion rechargeable battery with 6 hours of playback on a full charge and an LED light to let you know when to recharge, plus a built-in bass port for rich, deep low-frequency sound. With a 1-5/8-inch (40-millimeter) driver, the speaker delivers full-range JBL sound with exceptional bass, yet it’s small enough to fit easily into a backpack or clip onto clothing. It connects to any mobile device or MP3 player with a built-in audio cable and a 1/8-inch (3.5-millimeter) stereo mini jack, and you can even daisy-chain it with other JBL Micro II speakers for a powerful sonic experience. An ideal ultra-portable audio solution for indoor or outdoor playback, the JBL Micro II lets you take great JBL bass with you wherever you go and offers performance, portability and pricing that the competition can’t touch.

What's in the box?

  • 1 JBL Micro II speaker
  • 1 micro USB cable for recharging
  • 1 carrying pouch
  • Warranty card
  • Quick-start guide

The JBL Micro II portable speaker is small but muscular. Its built-in bass port generates powerful low-frequency sound that’s superior to the bass output of comparable portable products.

The JBL Micro II has a built-in Li-ion battery that provides up to 5 hours of playback time. You can easily recharge the battery using a micro USB port, which will save you battery hassles and money.

Who says you can’t take it with you? The lightweight, compact JBL Micro II fits easily into backpacks or pockets.

The JBL Micro II portable speaker is always ready to connect and play. And when your source device isn’t connected, you can store the built-in, 11-13/16-inch (30-centimeter) audio cable in the bottom of the speaker to prevent tangling.

A clearly visible LED lets you know when the JBL Micro II’s built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery is low, so you can tell when it needs charging.

Can’t get enough of a good thing? You can connect the JBL Micro II portable speaker to other JBL Micro II speakers, creating an impressive sound environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful little friend I bought this as JBLMICROIIBLK-Z (re-certified), regardless of its size, this is a very powerful small speaker, the crisp and sound of it its amazing. If you don't like to carry big stuff, this is right product for you, you can use it with any portable device, even connect it to you mobile phone and have a phone conference call, sounds better than a regular conference speaker phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound for the size and price! I bought this to have something more than just my phone speakers to listen to at work. Another person walked into my office the other day and said "Is all that sound coming out of that"? Yes, I replied! Okay it is not a tower speaker but what you pay for it and what it delivers is a really good deal if you have the need!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basic, well made speaker Actually, I purchased 3 of these as gifts mistakenly thinking that they were Bluetooth speakers. After unpacking one of them, I decided that they would still be useful since they were rechargeable, well built, and had decent sound quality. I paid 14 dollars each. I feel that it was a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected Sound! I bought this because I needed something small and portable and I was hoping the sound would still be good....AND it is! My son has the slightly bigger Clip and that sounds amazing so I thought I'd give the Micro a shot. Definitely a top ten purchase. (Plus I got it on sale through JBL direct)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sound I got this as a gift. Let's just say I wasn't left disappointed. The sound is clear, bass is nice, and pretty loud for something so small. I would definitely buy another one.

As shown in the owners manual, when the battery is charging, the LED indicator's light is colored RED. Once fully charged it would turn BLUE.

How long does it take to fully recharge it?

Asked by: Helle
Two (2) hours to recharge original Micro.  Since both still have five (5) hour batteries, assume same charge time for both, too.

I have an older plug in Micro II. It doesn't seem compatible with Win 10. I plug it into my computer and the sounds go off from my computer but no sound comes through the speaker. Under the same scenario, with a set of ear buds, the sound works. Help.

Asked by: wbk582
It sounds like your computer doesn't have the appropriate USB audio drivers installed. Please Google "windows 10 usb audio device not working" (without the quotes). You will find Microsoft articles addressing this very issue. This will likely solve your problem.

I have a JBL Micro II speaker & love it. When I charge it I plug it into the computer. A red light comes on. Do I turn the speaker on to recharge it or leave the red light on to charge it?

Asked by: smoconn
The MICRO 2 can be charged while switched ON or OFF without risking overcharge. The LED will turn blue when the speaker reaches full charge.

Can not get it to pair with my ipod or cellphone anymore. Is there anything I should try to reset the unit? Works fine when using the plug-in.

Asked by: mdhuskerfan
Please try the following steps to possibly fix the pairing issue. 1. Unpair/Forget the MICRO 2 from your source device. 2. Turn the source device completely off. 3.Switch the source device back ON. 4.Turn the source device completely OFF "AGAIN". (this is important) 5.Switch the source device back ON. 6.Pair the MICRO 2 with your source device. If this doesn't help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/contactus and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to assist you.

Hi, My Micro 2 was bought in 2014 July. I see the Aux cable ends are wearing out and i can see the inner metal wires popping out. What do you suggest?

Asked by: Divyansh
With an item like this, the best thing you can do is continue to use it until it actually stops working, at which point you can either bring it to a local electronics repair shop and have them replace the jack, or purchase another unit. It is a tough thing to decide, at times, with products at this price, as the repair can sometimes cost more than the cost of a new unit.
