Highlights

You can’t press pause on a pro-audio revolution – certainly not when JBL engineers are at the helm. Introducing the new JBL S400BT. As the latest addition to the JBL Synchros line of premium headphones, the award-winning S400BT adds the freedom of Bluetooth 3.0 wireless to the performance of a Synchros headphone. Using advanced aptX digital encoding technology that streams high-resolution audio on par with any wired Synchro headphone, the S400BT is fine-tuned on the inside to maximize enjoyment on the outside. Take the headphone’s hassle-free single touch sensor for instance: all you need to do is swipe your finger anywhere along the S400BT’s left outer earcup, and you can seamlessly adjust your headphone’s volume, track-changes, and call settings, since the entire earcup functions as a single, touch-sensitive control system. The right outer earcup boosts user flexibility as well, coming with an NFC sensor that pairs your headphone to any NFC-enabled device. Just give the right earcup a single tap, and you’re instantly connected. With this level of intuitive technology at play, it’s hard not to notice how the S400BT simplifies like never before. Others will definitely take notice: a built-in LED lighting system trails the touch of your hand in reaction to each adjustment made to your headphone’s settings. Now you can showcase your listening experience at the speed of light. Viewed as a whole, the S400BT is a wireless headphone that’s meant to celebrate - as much as to simplify – premium listening. Chances are you’ve never witnessed a headphone that comes even close to this.

Synchros S400BT is rated 4.6087 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound, Awesome look I just got these in the mail a few hours ago. They are smaller than I anticipated, which is a good thing. There is some sound leak, the calls sound great but you sound distant to the other person, and they protrude from your head a little more than I would like. Everything else is really great, especially the sound quality. I love the NFC capability, and the headphones are super comfortable. I have been wearing them since they arrived in the mail with no discomfort. I considered the beats studio wireless, and after examining my friend's for a few minutes, I really like these better. Fair price, phenomenal build quality, and they look great. Most importantly, the sound over Bluetooth is INCREDIBLE! I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PHENOMENAL!! Sound quality is fantastic! Any type of music you like they will cover it all, I play guitar and after just 1hr of listening over Bluetooth I've heard chords in songs I've never even heard from songs from back in the 80's and 90's! I tried sol replublic, beats, and monster headsets along with a couple others and almost gave up until I found these online and ordered. Music lovers of any type you won't be let down at all. Comfort is great as well, touch pad works great also. I never leave reviews of purchases but I couldn't resist leaving one this time. Highly recommend over the other junk out there. My only bad remark is shipping was extremely slow so if you want it fast pay the extra shipping charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Product I have to say that I am very pleased with the ease of use and performance of these headphones. My goal with this purchase was to replace all my existing headphones that I use for different purposes (i.e. laptop, iPod, PS3) with one set. The pairing process for the iPod/iPhone and PS3 were seamless. However, my laptop proved to be a bit more challenging. In case anyone else is experiencing issues with pairing to their Dell laptop, pair the headphones for the first time with the laptop then shut the headphones off. Plug the 3.5 mm audio cable into the headphones and laptop. The led light around the port of the headphones where the 3.5 mm cable plugs into will flash briefly. Unplug, turn on, and you should be good to go. You will have to repeat the "plug in" scenario every time you want to use these with your laptop. This would be my only complaint, no fault of JBL due to the fact that everything else paired perfectly. Otherwise, a solid product that has a great feel and appearance along with JBL's incredible performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound! The fit could be better. I got these a couple of moths ago and I am loving them. I couldn't be happier with the sound, it is absolutely amazing. I love the touch sensor that can be used skip forward/backwards on the tracks and volume control. You can also tap it to pause the music. If you get a phone call you can tap it to answer the call. The sound quality on the calls I would say is average, I can hear the caller perfectly, but at times they say I sound distant. I wish the tap function was not so sensitive. The slightest touch will pause the tract and is sometimes annoying. Also I have accidently called people more than one when I have had them around my neck, because if you tap while not listening to music it will dial the last number on your phone. The fit is also a little loose. Because they are a little heavier when I look down or bend over they tend to slip a little. They don't actually fall off, but it also can be annoying. Also the instructions are useless. However these complaints are very minor compared to the overall experience and quality of the sound.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Intense bass! I bought these primarily because I wanted to be able to enjoy dubtep through a pair of headphones- these met all my expectations in terms of the bass levels! They hit the deep lows without distorting. Very awesome. It sounds like I have a subwoofer up to my ears. I would give these a 9/10 if there were such an option. My only negative point is that the headphones can sometimes slightly muffle the higher notes. Perhaps a "vocals" eq preset would remedy this for certain types of music. Overall- these are incredible headphones that are certainly worth while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT PRODUCT First off I want to say that I was debating to buy them. However I pulled the trigger and ordered them. I was very impress with the look, the feel, and most important the sound. I actually took them to the gym and I couldn't hear anyone around me that was a huge plus. They are light weight and I was not bothered by them being on my head. They are also not as bulky as they look I think what impressed me the most was the battery. Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breathtaking depth of range and clarity! Wow!! Rich, resonant spatial clarity well beyond either my Sennheiser or Klipsch Bluetooth headphones. I have been looking for the perfect Bluetooth headphones for YEARS! My first pair was the MM400 Sennheisers, which are priced around 100 dollars more than these JBLs and deliver the Audiophile coveted "flattest" response, which for many listeners is not as dynamic and exciting as the JBL's slightly amplified and "equalized" listening experience which can be found with these Synchros. The main difference that I noticed immediately was the completely 3 dimensional sound stage created by these JBLs. Unbelievable! The Klipsch, although delivering a deep bass response, unfortunately gets muddled in the midrange and treble areas. You can get used to hearing music of any genre with the Klipsch, but the highs are often lost and that limits the creation of the complete audio spectrum in your head, making them more appropriate for Club or other bass heavy music. I'm almost in shock at how perfect these new JBLs are. I'm listening to Quincy Jones' Back on the Block as I write this review, which encompasses so many different genres in one album... all the way from vocal harmonies, which are crystal clear and sending chills up my spine, to rap/hip hop with deep deep bass that Beats headphones would be hard pressed to surpass, to the trumpet and saxophone and synthesized highest notes that, if I close my eyes, feel like are right in front of me and around me. The bottom line is that the Sennheisers were my favorite for years with accurate german engineering and accurate sound reproduction, but were missing the capability to deliver that extra bass punch that is effortless in these JBLs. The Klipsch delivered that bass, but the highs and soundstage were very limited. These JBLs deliver the richest, most immersive listening experience that I have ever been lucky enough to enjoy, through, of all things, Bluetooth wireless technology. For the user interface, as many have stated, the left earphone has the touch controls, but if you are careful to always grab the headphones by the cushions then there should not be a problem at all with activating a control unintentionally. The unmentioned function in the manual is the capability to "redial" the most recent number dialed by touching the center of the left earphone and holding for three seconds. Very nice. They are supremely comfortable with real leather earpads that even smell awesome, and have a large range of adjustment with the headband. The carrying pouch is sturdy and should protect them well. I have not had them move too much or start to fall off when wearing them at the gym and getting in vertical or horizontal work out positions or when worn on a elliptical or treadmill. They should stay in place nicely. The Bluetooth connectivity issue is not any worse than any other brand. Of course, if you move more than 20 feet away from your source - then any Bluetooth headphones will start to get staticy, especially if you go into another room and the signal has to pass through a wall or two. Enjoy! I'm in listening awe right now and don't want to take them off!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I don't know what to say I got these for my birthday, and golly...... I purchased these headphones online but not at jbl.com. And i've only have these for 5 days, stopped using them 2 days ago! But I was very dissapointed! Pros: Build quality, bluetooth, touch pad sensor, and looks. Cons: sound quality, uncomfortable after 1 hour, couldn't keep headband adjustment, and it stopped charging so i can't use the bluetooth feature anymore. I was very disappointed cause I was always impressed by jbl products, especially my dad's JBL J56bt and my JBL Charge! I thought paying $230 would give me the best headphones ever, i was wrong! I think honestly that these were just a bad pair, cause i can't find an online review of these headphones that complained as much as i am! Also JBL does an excellent job with their products! Hopefully I can replace them soon! Im just shocked, and If this happens again with the next pair then I'm gonna purchase the E50s when they come out or the J56bt. JBL is still the best! Thumbs up for them! :D And I plan on doing another review when I get the next pair!
