MPS1000 is rated 4.6667 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound quality I added this subwoofer to my already existing Jbl boat stereo system. Wow what a difference it makes. I tuned the system to where My 6.5 jbl speakers are producing the highs and mids, and the sub is handleing all of the lows effortlessly. Now I have clean, clear, and loud music on the water. Easy to install and I like the fact that I didn't have to go through the the trouble and exspens of a separate subwoofer amplifier. I would recommend to a freind to by this or two. For me one seems to be working fine.

I just bought one of these MSP1000 and I'm having trouble hooking it up to my Infinity PVR250 marine radio. How can I get some technical help with this? I've looked on line trying u tube and can find nothing on this. Please help. rick

Asked by: rick020957
The MPS1000 can be hooked up using either RCA or the speaker wires. If your PVR250 has RCA outputs, just connect the red and white RCA at the sub. If it doesn't, just hook up the speaker level inputs. Connect white-white/black and grey-grey/black to the same color wires, and it will work that way. If this doesn't help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/contactus and the Customer Service team will be happy to further assist you.

I don't want to run the sub all the time due to battery drain on my small boat. Will I still have sound from the speakers (L & R Out) if I don't power on the sub but want the radio on?

Asked by: cacloss
Unfortunately, the MPS1000 does not support standby passthrough. With that said, if you would like to use the speakers connected to the MPS1000 the unit should be switched ON for you to be able to use the speakers.
