Highlights

We’ve designed the JBL OnBeat™ Venue iPad entertainment system to bring you the best from your iPad and other iOS® devices, including your iPhone and iPod touch. This speaker dock gives you the freedom to listen to music, watch movies and play games wirelessly. Equipped with Bluetooth® wireless technology and the HARMAN TrueStream™ guarantee of the best possible connectivity, it will provide high-quality streaming for all your audio. And it will let you extend your content to your big-screen TV; just add a component cable, and you can watch movies and view images in full high definition. In addition, you can download the free JBL® MusicFlow™ app to control your listening experience fully: Create personal playlists, edit sound mixes and display album artwork. This sleek, compact loudspeaker also features a unique pullout dock that fits neatly in any room, and it comes in colors that match your iPad and home décor. The most important feature of all, though, is the famous JBL sound: the precise, naturally articulated audio that JBL engineers have installed in cinemas, arenas and recording studios worldwide.

Wireless audio streaming

Listen to music, watch movies and play games – and do it all wirelessly. We’ve designed the JBL OnBeat Venue for your iPad, but it also works with your iPhone, iPod touch and virtually any other audio player that uses Bluetooth technology.

HARMAN TrueStream technology

The HARMAN TrueStream technique is our guarantee that you will enjoy the best possible listening experience when you’re streaming audio wirelessly via Bluetooth technology. Because you have many options for Bluetooth connectivity, our products always use the most current and most advanced option to ensure the highest-quality sound no matter what application or source device you use.

Powerful JBL drivers

The JBL OnBeat Venue’s two full-range transducers provide you with room-filling sound. Experience clear highs and mids, plus exceptional bass – the true JBL sound that you’ve come to love.

Slipstream port technology

Proprietary Slipstream port technology in the JBL OnBeat Venue gives listeners powerful, great-sounding bass with low distortion. Whether docked or streaming, you’ll experience bass that you can really feel.

Component video output to TV

Send the movies, games and images on your iPad to your big-screen TV. Just connect a component video cable (not included) to experience all of your multimedia content in big-screen format.

Auxiliary input for additional source devices

Whether your device is Bluetooth-enabled or not, the JBL OnBeat Venue allows you to take full advantage of its incredible sound, thanks to its auxiliary-input (aux in) connection. You can plug in practically any digital audio device, including an MP3 player, smartphone, tablet or laptop computer.

Free JBL MusicFlow app

The free, downloadable MusicFlow app lets you customize your listening experience from your Bluetooth-enabled device. Create custom playlists, edit mixes, adjust volume and EQ settings, and browse album artwork.

User-friendly EQ settings

Personalize your EQ settings from the JBL OnBeat Venue’s speaker or from your iPad. An easy-to-use display allows you to tweak highs, mids and lows to your liking. Pump up the bass quickly for dance music or create a balanced mix for movies and games.

Dock charger for iOS devices

We’ve designed the JBL OnBeat Venue to work seamlessly with your iPad and other iOS devices – and charge them while they’re docked. So when you’re ready to undock and take on the day, so is your favorite listening device.

Up to 20kHz frequency response

To combat the placement variations in one’s room and human hearing deficiencies at higher frequencies, the JBL OnBeat Venue delivers the full-range frequency response associated with exceptional sound.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inner connector loose which equals dud product Bought this for my Fiance as a Christmas gift. Less than 2 years and the inner connector for the plug in wiggles and will not connect. Now I have a book end. Very, very disappointed as the warranty is out and the product was used as specified and never manipulated. Have the receipt, however did not get the "geek squad" warranty. A product at this price level should not have such weak inner technology. Loved the product until this and now out $200 :( Brandon

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The bluetooth issue strikes again I bought one of these last year and I've suffered from the bluetooth drop issue until the firmware update. It was everything OK until last week, when the bluetooth drops came back, making it impossible to use. Is there anything I can do to improve the bluetooth connection on the JBL Onbeat Venue?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Sound Hello, I've got this product since last christmas. but when i want to charge my Iphone 5, my Iphone don't recognize it and pop up the message "the cable or accesory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone", What can I do ???

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sound, for a relatively small price I own this product since Christmas 2012 and I really like it. But lately I haven't been able to connect my iphone via bluetooth: when I turn the OnBEat on, the bluetooth status light stands still, it doesn't blink, and the onBeat Venue doesn't appear in the list of the devices ready to be paired with. What can I do? I read also that I can 'reset' this by keep the source button pressed, but it doesn't work. Thanks

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good sound worth the budget, however... I purchased this speaker unit a week ago and I think the sound quality is very worth the price. I can say that it packs a lot of power for a speaker this size. The speaker is very easy to set up via bluetooth connection. I don't have an iPad so I don't use the dock at all and therefore cannot give any comment about that. I only connect to the speaker via bluetooth from my android phone/ laptop. However, from time to time (I have been using the speaker everyday since I purchased it), the speaker would just simply go into standby mode by itself even when the music is being played from the computer. This standby would happen for 4-5 seconds and then audio would disappear during this time and then the audio playback would resume after this "pause" all by itself. I am pretty sure this is not supposed to happen unless it's a product defect or something like that. The speaker itself or the power supply adapter? The fact that it has been occurring everyday makes it seem rather strange now and is a nuisance. What could be the reason for this? Could you please suggest to me what I can do to solve this problem or should I turn the product in to get a new replacement? Thank you. The speaker is good when it works (most of the time).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Got issues.. I bought an onbeat venue yesterday and i took it again to the dealer today because there is a problem with my unit and they changed it with a new one, same model. Then got back home. But i was disappointed i got the same problem. The issue is the power led is lit up but there is no sound coming out, i have to press the power button off and on to use it again. It happened when i use the aux line. The bluetooth will turn the device on but no sound coming out, turn the power off and on to make it functioning again. Is it normal? Help please..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Sound but very poor blue tooth connectivity The sound is terrific on this unit, but the blue tooth feature is very poor. Constantly loose the connection whether it is from the computer or iPhone. Generally will have to unplug the speaker to get it to reset - if it will even reset then.
