Wireless technology explained

Bluetooth is an easy way to enjoy music wirelessly which is supported by most mobile phones, tablets and computers.

Harman TrueStream

HARMAN TrueStream technology ensures you will enjoy the best possible listening experience when you're streaming audio wirelessly via Bluetooth by optimizing transmission quality depending on your device.

Does my device support Bluetooth streaming?

Most mobile phones and tablets have Bluetooth, look for it in the settings menu. If your device does not have Bluetooth, a dongle may be available at your local computer store.

Connecting your speakers to your device

You will need to set up the connection between your device and your speakers only once. After this, they are 'paired', meaning that whenever they are near and Bluetooth is enabled they will automatically reconnect.

Advantages over Bluetooth

Airplay uses the WiFi signal to transfer sound. This signal allows the highest sound quality.

Does my device support Airplay?

Airplay is exclusively available on Apple devices. All iPad models, all iPhones (3GS and later) and wireless enabled iPod Touches, plus most computers* with iTunes 10.2 and later will support Airplay.

*Your PC/computer has to have either wireless or Wi-Fi as part of its supplied feature list, or your PC has to be connected to a Wi-Fi router/hub.

Connecting your speakers to your device

You will need to set up the connection between your device and your Airplay enabled speakers through iTunes. You can then use your Apple music player to select the speaker(s) you want the audio output to come from.
