JBL Synthesis® 7.1 Surround Sound with GreenEdge™ Technologies

The Avalon is the first Toyota to combine JBL Synthesis 7.1 Surround Sound with GreenEdge technologies. Its high-voltage Class-H amplifier is engineered to produce high Sound Pressure Levels (SPL) with reduced current draw, while delivering 12 channels of digitally programmed sound to the system's 15 dedicated speakers.

JBL Synthesis 7.1 Surround Sound uses proprietary software to convert two-channel stereo signals into multichannel formats, providing a very engaging surround-sound experience to all vehicle occupants. Whether the original source is broadcast radio, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, CD or even MP3 files, you'll hear full and engaging surround sound throughout the passenger compartment.

80mm Wide-Dispersion Midrange Speaker

80mm Metal-Cone Midrange Speaker

The center channel uses an 80mm midrange speaker mounted in the center of the instrument panel. This channel is key to replicating the feeling of being at a live performance. It places the primary vocalist or performer at center stage. A scientifically designed acoustic lens helps distribute the sound to front and rear vehicle occupants. In addition, this midrange speaker blends the audio imaging with the other six front speakers to help expand the overall soundstage.
