  The Studio 5 home theatre’s low-frequency speakers feature lightweight yet rigid PolyPlas™ cone drivers. PolyPlas material creates heart-thumping, accurate bass with low distortion. The Studio 520C and JBL Control NOW speakers have dual 4-inch (100-millimetre) cones; the Studio 590 has a pair of 8-inch (200-millimetre) cones; and the Studio SUB 550P features a 10-inch (250-millimetre) cone. The bass in these speakers takes surround sound from simply a listening experience to a seemingly tangible, robust environment.

  The Studio 520C, Studio 590 and JBL Control NOW speakers have tweeters that our engineers have designed to hit the highest notes – up to 40kHz, well above the high end of human hearing. The JBL Control NOW speaker has a 3/4-inch (19-millimetre), titanium-laminate dome tweeter in a waveguide to spread its sound wide. The Studio 520C and Studio 590 have 1-inch (25-millimetre) high-frequency compression drivers that lower distortion and provide a wider dynamic range than conventional tweeters.

  Put the Studio 520C, Studio 590 and JBL Control NOW speakers anywhere you like – even near your TV. Other speakers placed so close might cause interference on the screen, but we’ve magnetically shielded the Studio 5 home theatre speakers to block interference.

  The Studio 520C and Studio 590 speakers will work with multiple power amplifiers or connection setups – or both – for single-wire or bi-wire operation.   The Studio SUB 550P places you in the centre of a movie or concert by sending its low-frequency sound straight at you via a powerful, forward-firing cone.   Adjustable crossover frequency and phase control

  A phase switch ensures that the action of the Studio SUB 550P subwoofer’s transducer moves in sync with your other speakers. As a result, the subwoofer’s low frequencies blend seamlessly with the sound coming from the other speakers, regardless of where you place the subwoofer in a room. Furthermore, an adjustable crossover-frequency control lets you optimize the subwoofer for a variety of other speakers.
