JBL Pebbles is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great speakers for their price Easy setup, plug and play. You can adjust the terrible through the computer settings. Can't beat the price for a set of speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for an office Just outstanding. Nothing better for the application (one cable, looks modern and professional)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome computer speakers!! I bought black ones from a third party since you can't get them anymore from JBL and like everyone else mentioned already, they sound great for their size. But what I like the best about them is the fact that they take up so little desk space!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding speakers! I've purchased two sets of these Pebbles and they are outstanding. I don't think you should give up on them so easily because they are so good. I've been a stereo guy for over 50 years and these, with my Advents, other JBL's, BiC Venturi, Kenwoods, and Altec Lansings. only come in second to Magneplanars. They are that good. The design is worthy of being made into a much larger bookshelf or floor speaker because of the way they distribute the sound. They match the JBL 100 Century speakers you used to make. At least, try to make a pair like that and see if you have the same success. I don't need any more speakers but if you made a big edition, I'd buy them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice sound Very nice sound for the size and price. Some midrange presence and a bit short on the highs and of course the bass given the size, but especially at the refurbished price, a great choice. Good volume too without distorting.

I have connected the usb of JBL pebbles with my desktop PC (windows 10 system),  there is no sound. But if I connect that with my macbook, it works. I do not why?

Asked by: lynnmlq
Also you could plug in the aux cable as well and it would work as I run windows 10 on my desktop.

it does not work on my macbook, OSX El Capitan v.10.11.6 Any suggestion?

Asked by: Bon vivant
The PEBBLES utilizes both USB and 3.5mm AUX connection for audio, so if your system has a USB audio port, then you can use USB connection from your computer to the speaker. However, you would need to determine if your computer has USB audio capability and you would need to check on the owners manual of your computer or contact the manufacturer. You can also use the conventional 3.5mm AUX connection of the speaker to the computer, just do not forget to check if the external speakers are set as your computers speaker, some Mac computers do not automatically detect something connected to the audio port.

I plug the Pebbles into a computer USB and that works great. But I also want to use AUX in mode from another device as the USB can still provide power when computer is switched off, but the Pebbles turn off after a short time. Any ideas to solve?

Asked by: RichKing
The PEBBLES has an auto on/off feature that is based on sound. As soon as the PEBBLES sees an audio signal present, it will turn on and begin playing. Once it stops seeing an audio signal for 10 minutes, it goes into standby, waiting for the next time you send it an audio signal. So, if your PEBBLES is turning off when you don't want it to, it is likely because you are not sending it quite enough audio signal from your source (whatever device you have connected to the aux input). Simply turn the volume up on your source to at least 75%, and turn the volume on the SB200 down, to compensate. This will send the PEBBLES a solid signal, it will stay on, and it will sound better.

are there JBL specific drivers for the Pebbles?

Asked by: bigknife
The PEBBLES speakers do not require any specific drivers. They connect via USB and utilize the standard USB audio drivers readily available in most all systems.

My volume control no longer seems to be working. I can turn the speakers on and off by pressing the volume control knob, but I am unable to adjust the volume. I used to see a volume display on the screen when I did this and I no longer see it.

In order to ensure that the issue is caused by a defect in the PEBBLES, try connecting it to a different source device. If the issue persists, it may have developed a fault. If this is the case, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/contactus and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

I plugged them in and nothing. If someone can tell me how I should have done that?

Asked by: Dugan
I assume you're trying to plug them in to your new computer which has a new operating system like Windows 10. It sounds like your computer doesn't have the appropriate USB audio drivers installed. Please Google "windows 10 usb audio device not working" (without the quotes). You will find Microsoft articles addressing this very issue. This will likely solve your problem.
