Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I just bought this tonight to use with my Ipod Heard it demonstrated in Best Buy in comparison with all the other bluetooth speakers. this one had better overall sound than any of the others, (and I heard several,) many with a higher price tag. Got it home, synched it with my Ipod and put it to the test. It has very clear highs, powerful midrange and bass that thumps like the big boys. The woofers are only 63 mm in diameter but kick out bass like 12- 15 inch speakers I have heard on other devices pushing 100 watts or more. For even more effect,I set this speaker in a corner and it really came to life. The bass reverberates and you think you are listening to a system priced 10 times higher than you pay for this. Definitely worth the price. I have purchased JBL products before and have never regretted it. The JBL Extreme is yet another product I can add to that list. If you get the opportunity to see one demonstrated, go for it. You will be happy you did.

Hi, I have just purchased a JBL Xtreme, but my Sony NWZ-A15 (MP3 player) does not complete the pairing? Sony settings are BT Ver 3.0, A2DP 1.2, AVRCP 1.3. Any ideas why this error occurs? Any ideas how to resolve this?

Is there no an update version of jbl xtreme for mac?  I can't seem to get the sound out from apple mac to jbl xtreme and it's difficult to pair them

To check for updates, please download the JBL Connect app on an Android or iOS device and connect the XTREMEs at a time, the application should notify you if an update is available. Please do ensure that your Mac has the latest Bluetooth driver which supports A2DP audio codec. You can download and reinstall the latest Bluetooth driver that supports A2DP audio codec from your computer's manufacturer support website. If you're having difficulty pairing them, it could be that the XTREME is already connected to another source. To initiate pairing mode on the XTREME, press the Bluetooth button and it should start flashing blue. You would also hear an audible tone indicating that the XTREME is ready to be paired. Once on this state, check your MAC again, and you should now see the XTREME on the list.

My (March 2017) Xtreme works well, but mine does NOT take 3.5 hours to re-charge (from Dead to Full while OFF) - it takes ONLY 1.5 hrs. Is there an issue (the 2nd battery is not connected properly) and it is only using/charging 1 of the 2 batteries ?

As you know, 3 bluetooth can be paired at the same time..BUT.. everytime that other Bluetooth ( e.g. bluetooth number 3) want to listen ( meanwhile you are listening with Bluetooth Number 2) the JBL Extreme SHUT OFF and restart automatically. Is normal?

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the XTREME. Please try to reset the speaker. While the unit is turned ON, Press and hold the "Volume +" and "Play/Pause" button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The XTREME will turn OFF indicating that it has been reset. I noticed that you are in Argentina. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the store where you purchased the unit and they will be able to help.

The XTREME portable speaker is known to its quality and they are the same, regardless the region they are purchased in, but for warranty convenience, it is best to purchase in the country where you live.

Hi very impressed with the speaker! However once the power cord is removed the speaker is not working. Isn't it supposed to switch over to battery power automatically?
