Do Charge 3 will be updatable by usb connection from my pc? If yes, The update will include also some treble boost or a better tuning, to make charge 3 less muffled? Thank you in advance

Asked by: Frap82
No. The CHARGE 3's firmware can be only be updated using the JBL Connect app, downloadable on Android and iOS devices. The update will allow the speaker to pair with New JBL speaker (i.e. FLIP 4) and fix minor bugs. Also, this is a byproduct of the waterproof feature. Boosting treble in the source device's EQ should do the job.

Can I connect my Xtreme with the Flip 4?

Asked by: alfredobg93
The JBL CONNECT + is not backwards compatible to the JBL CONNECT and vice-versa. JBL CONNECT + allows you to connect up to 100 speakers with this feature such as the FLIP 4 and the PULSE 3. The XTREME and CHARGE 3 will soon be part of the JBL Connect + compatible devices.

Bought my second Flip 3 and the JBL Connect function is spotty at best. Rough connection even in the same room. Bummed since this is the main reason I bought the second speaker. Does Flip 4 have better JBL Connect powers than the Flip 3?

Asked by: Thrush
We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your FLIP 3’s JBL Connect feature. Being that the Connect + feature that will be made available for the FLIP 4 allows connection of up to 100 compatible devices, we can say that connection would be better with the FLIP 4. For the FLIP 3, a reset on your speakers may help improve the connection. **With the FLIP 3 ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Phone buttons for 5-6 seconds. The FLIP 3 shuts down, and is now reset. Reconnect your devices and retry if the issue persists.
