Introducing the JBL Flip portable wireless stereo speaker system. Ready to play wherever you go, it’s compact and portable, but don’t let its small size fool you. With two 1-5/8-inch (40-millimeter) drivers, a built-in bass port to produce serious bass and digital signal processing (DSP) to generate room-filling audio, it delivers full-range JBL® sound with exceptional bass. In addition, this blend of power and portability has Bluetooth® capability, so it can connect wirelessly to any Bluetooth-equipped device – which means that it is an ideal wireless speaker for smartphones and tablets. This system also offers up to 5 hours of playback time from its built-in Li-ion (lithium-ion) rechargeable battery, with an LED indicator that tells you when to recharge – and when the speaker’s in Bluetooth listening or pairing mode. Through this speaker, which includes a microphone and call-answer button, you can even answer phone calls. Hi. Is there a plug in for non-bluetooth devices?

Yes, there is an Aux port for 3.5mm Aux cable that you can use to plug in a non-Bluetooth device.

I've had my JBL Flip for years now and have used it often. However, I can no longer pair to my MacBook Pro. I had been successfully pairing it for 10 months but as of about a week ago it won't. I've tried everything I can think of. Any help would be great

You can try pairing the speaker to a different source like a smart phone or tablet to isolate the issue. Try to FORGET the JBL Flip from your Mac then reboot the system twice so it will go through the entire power cycle without being connected to the speaker, then try to pair the JBL Flip again. If this doesn’t work, the last step would be performing a reset on the speaker, while the JBL Flip is ON, Press and hold “Volume –“ and “Power On/Off” for 6 seconds until it automatically turns off, once the unit is turned back on it will be on pairing mode, then try to connect it to your Mac. I connect the 3.5MM to the speaker and then to my computer or my cell phone, neither one plays anything. Am i doing something wrong or need to do something extra?

Please try using a different 3.5mm audio cable to isolate the issue. Also, make sure that the volume on the source and on the FLIP has been properly adjusted up in volume. If both the FLIP and the device are turned down, you will not hear anything. The best option is to set the device to a loud volume, and then control the volume from the FLIP.

i have a jbl flip 1 been on charge for two days then goes flat in 5 minutes is it the battery

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the FLIP. If the unit is turning ON, there may be a problem with the charger. If you have a similar charger that you can use, please try to use it so that we can isolate the issue. I noticed that you are in Australia. when I push the phone icon it doesn't light up like it used too. I can't get the phone call through the speakers, only music from wifi networks.

Please check your device to make sure that both Stereo Audio and Headset are selected for the FLIP. If only Stereo Audio is selected, it will not work as a speaker phone. You can also try pairing it with a different source to isolate the issue. If that still does not work, please do a reset. In power ON mode, press and hold the "Volume -" and "Power On/Off" buttons simultaneously for at least 6 seconds. The unit powers OFF by itself. Now the unit is reset. Pair your device and observe. This question has been asked before and your response was related to using the device to amplify cell phone calls. My question is, can a hand held microphone whether plug in or bluetooth, be used with this device to amplifier a speakers voice.

No. Any third party microphone, wired or Bluetooth, cannot be used with the FLIP.

I have a JBL Flip and a taotronics BA07 in TX mode it does not pair with my JBL Flip, why?

Please try to do a reset on your FLIP. In power ON mode, press and hold the "Volume -" and "Power On/Off" buttons simultaneously for at least 6 seconds. The unit powers OFF by itself. I've upgraded my iPhone from 6plus to 7plus and it won't connect via Bluetooth. Can you help?

Make sure that the FLIP is on pairing mode. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds. The power button will flash Blue/Red indicating that it is on pairing mode. Turn the Bluetooth of your device and look for the FLIP on your Bluetooth’s pairing list. If that still does not work, please reset your FLIP. In power ON mode, press and hold the "Volume -" and "Power On/Off" buttons simultaneously for at least 6 seconds. The unit powers OFF by itself. Now the unit is reset. Try to pair your device to the speaker after resetting
