Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Flip 3 is one of the best! I really love it! But there is a weakness, if we play in full volume, there is some shaky in the sound. Jbl need to improve that. The bass is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Speaker for it's Price I got this speaker as a gift for camp, and its bass and sound quality surpasses the ue boom for fifty bucks less. The only thing you need to be aware of is that it is not as loud as the ue boom or other bigger speakers, but because of how small it is this shouldn't be an issue. I highly recommend this speaker for anyone who needs a portable device to play sick beats on.

Having had the same problems, try to tinker it a little bit, hope this help. This is for those who have paired but haven't got the "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" appeared in the "Sound" > "Playback" Tab options. 1. Check whether the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator (MBE) is Enabled or not, if it is not Microsoft's, check whether your Bluetooth device is enabled - it's from Device Manager > Bluetooth Radios. 2. Try to re-pair the JBL Flip, right click to the device's icon in the "Devices and Printers" section in Control Panel, choose Properties. (skip-able) 3. Go to the Services Tab, mark all, or just mark those services options you need, but in my case, I particularly mark "Audio Sink" and "Headset" options. 4. Get back to the Device Manager, look at the "Sound, video and game controllers" section, and again, in my case, there will be "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" - Enable it. 5. And again back to the Devices and Printers, right click at the JBL icon, you could see the "Control" button, choose that, try to connect it, if it is successfully connected, you are a step away from being able to use the JBL Flip. If not, look for the explanation below. 6. Go to Sound option in Control Panel, and voila, there goes the "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" choice in the Playback tab. Enable it (if not available, Connect first - but it should be available after Step 5 is done), and set as the default device (disabling your previous default speaker is also advised). I tried to enable the speaker not in a respective steps, in the first step, after enabling the MBE in the Device Manager setting, there are devices being installed (shown by the notification icon), then I checked the "Sound, video and game controllers", saw that the "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" is disabled - I enabled it - then there were other devices being installed. Then, after finished installing, the "Control" option after the right clicking of the JBL icon in Devices and Printers became available. tried to connect it, it couldn't be connected. Then after knowing that the "Audio Sink" in step 3 is not being marked, I tried to mark it and the device magically could be connected in the Control option, then I just followed step 6, and it was ready to be used.

Does this one charge smartphones? If not, which models do? If so, please still provide a list of which ones do. Thanks.

Asked by: Johnny S
No, the JBL Flip 3 doesn't have that feature available. Though, the JBL Charge series and the JBL Xtreme can act as a power bank when connected with a smartphone.

How do I connect my Flip 3 to my iPhone 7?

Asked by: Rave
Since IPHONE 7 doesn't support AUX connection. By default you many only connect it using Bluetooth connection. However, there are auxiliary/lightening adapters available online for purchase for wired connection. To do Bluetooth connection, press and hold the Bluetooth button of your FLIP 3 until you hear a tone and a blue led light is blinking then turn on the Bluetooth on your source and choose FLIP 3 to pair with it. An audible tone would indicate that the speakers are now paired. Play music and and test.

I just bought the iPad Pro 10.5 and it won't pair with my JBL FLIP 3. Are they compatible?

Asked by: RejaJoy
The FLIP 3 has Bluetooth version 4.1 while iPad Pro 10.5 has 4.2. Although the 4.2 is backward compatible with both 4.0 and 4.1, it might still have compatibility issues. To isolate the issue, try pairing your FLIP 3 with other devices (Android or other Apple devices with Bluetooth version 4.1 and below). If you are able to pair it, it is an Apple Bluetooth compatibility issue. We recommend contacting Apple Support for further assistance.

does leaving the flip plugged in while in use damage the battery life?

Asked by: tc68
Thank you for your inquiry on your JBL Flip speakers. Though it will allow you to plug the JBL Flip while in use, it is not recommended as it slowly hampers or damages your battery until it would not accept charge anymore. If you require further assistance, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.
